I think that OSU has as good a shot as Michigan and considering the the NFL players we send each year and the fact we own scUM , I'd say he's a fool to not chose OSU.

Right now it's 50-50 between OSU and Michigan

Curious, what were your odds on the OSU/LSU game? 50/50?

Interesting fact - no Ohio State QB under Tressel has been drafted earlier than the 5th round in the NFL draft. I wonder if Rich Rodriguez shared that fact with Mr. Pryor? I might be wrong, but it seems like there is a better than 50-50 chance that Pryor chooses Michigan. The school has a better reputation for creating NFL quality quarterbacks, and Pryor really likes the offense that Rodriguez is bringing over from West Virginia. That being said, anything is possible. It's hard to know how boosters might affect this as well (not that they'd do anything unethical).

Edit to say that I hope I'm wrong (note the avi - I'd MUCH prefer Pryor goes to OSU).

How many QB's has Dick Rod had drafted in the first 5 rounds?

I'm guessing the answer is zero. I think Marc Bulger left WVU in the 2000 NFL Draft, but he was a 6th round pick anyway... In hindsight, that stat on Tressel isn't all that telling. He's only been in Columbus for seven years. Rodriguez was at WVU for six years before bailing...

Rivals.com recruiting analyst Mike Farrell confirmed with Terrelle Pryor this morning that he will 100 percent sign tomorrow. He's down to Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State and will announce at 12:05 p.m. ET on television.

3 of the 4 analyst at Rivals predict Pryor goes to Ohio State, including Mike Farrell who confirmed this report with Pryor this morning

Let's hope they're right and he chooses the better program for his sake

Carr is no longer around to be your whipping boy.

You need to fear the new staff.

If this report from SI.com is right, Pryor is not going to sign Wednesday and Penn State is back in the mix.

Both of these reports are dated this morning and have the same theme. Pryor is coming to Ohio State

I read on a rivals message board (so take what you want from it) that the kid may not sign today because he was still undecided. I don't really care being a nole fan and we already have our QB in Manuel. Just thought i would pass along what i saw.

Pryor needs to make a decision today. Probably the Bucks to lose however thought this was interesting read.

"I just flew back from Pittsburg and guess who sat nect to me on the flight. Jerome Bettis. I sat and talked football with him for about 2 hours. Guess what he told me. Terrell Pryor is going to Michigan. Was never a doubt in his mind after the official visit. This was passed onto him from Charlie Batch who he had just been out with the night prior to his flight with me. As a Buckeye fan I'm crushed, and don't want to believe it. It even took away from the fact that I was sitting next to an NFL future HOF player and talking with him. I can furnish a photo upon request of myself and "The Bus" if needed. I hate when Darth Rodruigez and the evil empire wins."

Rivals has now updated and confirmed reports, he will NOT sign today. Farrel still believes he'll be a Buckeye

As expected he did not sign. He has also brought Oregon back into the mix. From ESPN blog:

12:06 p.m.: Terrelle Pryor on ESPNU, "I will not make my commitment... I haven't that much time to concentrate on the recruiting process and need more time."

Pryor also said Oregon is back in the mix; he is choosing between Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Oregon.

Sounds like a bit of an attention whore. Still will love to get him but seems a bit high maintenance potentially wanting to stay in recruiting spotlight a bit longer.

I get the same vibe. He also has Charlie Batch in his ear telling him not to rush it. I have also read his dad wants him to take another look at PSU.

:D

We turned RB Sam McGuffie of Texas to the dark side.:D

I think he is leaning towards OSU, but Batch is telling him UM and his dad is telling him PSU.

I think you nailed it here. Hard decision for an 18-year-old kid to make.

I read somewhere that Pryor's father is confined to a wheelchair and traveling is hard for him, and it would be easier for him to watch Terrelle play at PSU.

LOL, I'm having a hard time believing this.

So is Jeanette, PA part of the same general area that produced all those great NFL QBs? If so, obviously the fertile QB-growing ground crosses race boundaries too. What do they put in the water there, and can it be botteld and shipped? Good for him...

Pryor admits he was set to sign with Ohio State the day before Feb. 6, but a conversation with his father, Craig, made him think twice. His father wanted him to take another look at Penn State and take an official visit.

"I've seen everything at Michigan, but I didn't get to see everything at Ohio State," he said. "I am still in touch with all the Ohio State commitments I've become friends with, but they're being really cool about it, not pressuring me."

This really sucks for the Buckeyes knowing we had him landed. Thanks Craig !

Pryor has yet to visit Penn St, which is good news for the Bucks, as he's not in any rush to go there it appears.
