It isn't like they still play 12 games. A 17th game does nothing but make more money. Ahhh but I disagree. Adding a 17th game does one other thing. Like so many other leagues do, in my local we have our championship game durning week 16 of the NFL Season and a blow off game week 17 due to the players who sit during the week 17 games. But even doing this there are times when some teams have already locked things up and they have already started reducing the playing time of their starters in week 16. By adding a 17th game, and without changing a thing in my local league, their will be almost 100% participation of starters during our week 15 championship game, making it that much more competitive Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
