Or like M Bell?

Yeah - hadn't seen that when I made my initial post. Harrison certainly fits PHI's much, much better than Bell does - great move for them.

Coming into this season everyone was all about Harrison and he still hasn't produced. Hillis on the other hand has been a beast both in FF and as a power RB that Cle has needed for a long time.

I also feel the need to share a txt comversation whit a friend.

Me: so the Browns trade Harrison...

Him: No for what a box of marbles?

so is this bad for us McCoy owners ????

I have to admit, I wasn't high on McCoy at all this year, but I did get to watch him run this week and all I have to say is wow. This kid has a fractured rib? You can't tell, he ran with focus, power and made people miss. I was very impressed with his decisions he made. Unless that was a fluke, which I doubt, he is good. I don't think Harrison will cut into McCoys production too much as long as McCoy can put pads on and play. He might get a few taken away but I don't think much at all but the risk certainly goes up.

After seein McCoy run this weekend, I wish he was on my team.

strange that CLE is willing to hang their hat on James Davis behind Hillis - I guess they like the kid more than I thought

Whats even stranger is that there isn't a team willing to give Harrison a chance as a starter. He looked very solid when he had his chance. I wonder what we are not seeing that is preventing him from 1: Allowing him to back Hillis up and 2: A team getting him on the cheap to be a starter?

he was in the doghouse for whatever reason. I don't see Mike Bell being an upgrade though. Boo.

Bell has solid hands, similar to Harrison but teams that have had him hang their hats on his ability to block. If McCoy is getting the nod, I see now why they made the move to offer more protection to McCoy.

It has to be his protection - he's certainly a fine runner and has very good hands. Hard to say but it certainly speaks volumes that Mike Bell is the compensation they got for him.

Put him on the list of complete disappointments on my dynasty squad after showing some promise at one time or another:

Jerome Harrison

Earnest Graham

Laurence Maroney

Kevin Smith

Anthony Thomas

Kevan Barlow

Trung Canidate

Hey now, don't give up on Smith just yet. He still has some value, especially in PPR. The rest, well, yeah. I've had those days/years as well.

I guess if the Eagles treat him the way the Browns treated him we will know for sure what to make of Harrison. Very interested to see what he will do with his touches in Philly. I bailed on him a couple of weeks ago. I guess I should have seen this coming. I just didn't think the Browns were smart enough to get something in trade out of a guy they obviously wanted nothing to do with. Huh. Fooled me on that one. Mike Bell. Quite a prize indeed.

In any case, Harrison has to be doing cartwheels to get out of Cleveland, so if he has anything I expect we will see it in his limited touches. Which will probably still be more than he was getting in Manginiville.

I don't see Hillis taking this kind of workload for an entire season. He is already banged up. I would imagine Bell will be getting some meaningful carries going forward, for what that will be worth...not much I would imagine.

Classic case of, "Our piece of crap isn't playing worth a ####, your piece of crap isn't playing worth a ####. Let's swap crap and see if one of them turns into a gem."

Kind of like what DEN & CLE did last year with Hillis & Quinn. That got at least one of the traded players going again.

Funny how CLE manages to get involved in these kind of deals.. Maybe that's why they're called the Browns...

Well I'm an Eagles fan and the reason for this trade is Special Teams, the Eagles kick coverage has been garbage and Mike Bell is one of the main reasons why. Harrison is fairly good at Special Teams and that's the main reason why this deal was done.
