I appologize if this was answered already in another post.

Who will pay Randy Moss salary for 2010 if he IS claimed during the waiver process?

Who will pay if he clears the waivers and doesn't sign with a team?

Who will pay if he clears the waivers and then signs with another team (is any salary split)?

The claiming team pays the $3 million is he is claimed on waivers.

Vikings pay if e is not signed.

If another team signs after waivers, they would pay only the league minimum with the Vikings picking up the rest.

I am assuming Randy is owed $3mil this year?

Forthe remainder of the year.

I think his annual salary was 6+ million and his remaining salary is 3 million. Vikings also lose that draft pick. Boy, what a waist. I also suspect that any team will wait till waivers expire so that the Vikes get the majority of his salary for the year, but that's speculation on my part.

That was my original thought as well, but it seems fairly evident that if he clears waivers, he will re-join the Pats. The Dolphins may very well make the claim to ensure that this doesn't happen.

I could see the Jets possibly doing this for the same reason too.

No, it's not. It's clear that he would like to rejoin the Pats but they have done very well without him and I'd say they do not want him back - otherwise why get rid of him in the first place and did the problem that shipped him out get cleared up this past month? no. . He's not getting close to Foxboro, unless it's in the visiting team's uniform.
