tazinib1
In light of the T-Bone offense, it has basically rendered all Denver WR's unstartable. If, by the off chance, that Tebow has a couple 100yds passing, what game will that be? Do I roll the dice each week from here on out on a WR that has been money? Trading window is closed and I'm not sure what I would have gotten for him anyway.......meh.
bpwallace49
A couple hundred yards passing? That will be spread over at least 3 games, rendering Deckers value between Cotchery and Jacoby Jones at this point.

detlef
Didn't we go through this last time he had a crappy game? Can you list 25 WRs who are immune from having crappy games and see the end zone with a decent amount of regularity? In my .5 PPR league, including last night, he's put up 40.5 pts over the last 4 weeks. That's top 20 numbers. If you're in a 12 team league or start 3 or more WR, that means you certainly could have done worse. For the season, he's still #16. I pulled him out of my line-up last night because I was afraid he'd end up on Revis Island and he is absolutely not the kind of WR that you expect to overcome that. But are you truly expecting better production from a guy you grabbed off the waiver wires? He's been a flex play/ WR2 all year and he continues to put up Flex play/WR2 numbers right now. detlef
bench him ...With Tebow , he wont be consistent and he likely wont have any / many big games at all Oh, and btw, Tebow is top 10 in average points per start over the last month, so there's that as well. Neither Tebow or Decker are pretty to watch. And if you have a stud QB or great WRs, by all mean, start them ahead of both, but the numbers don't lie. True Detlef but many of tebow's points came from rushing and not throwing I think Decker is going to be hit or miss and when he misses it will be ugly ( like last night ) , imho

Regardless, I think people make too much of consistency, at least with 2nd tier FF starters. Sure, you don't want your QB1 to be 30 pts one week and 10 the next and you don't want the RB you took in the 1st round to be 35 one week and 7 the next. But when it comes to your borderline starters? I guess I don't care one way or the other. One week they're going to need my studs to carry them, the next they might be the pleasant surprise that gets me the win over another team who put up good points or if my main guys were just so-so. I guess I'll put it this way. Any game I lost when Decker crapped the bed, I really didn't lose because Decker crapped the bed.

Phat Rugby
Let's look at the math. In 6 games, Decker has seen over 5 targets once (Lions-12 targets). In the other five games, he caught 2 TD passes keeping him from already being WW garbage. I cannot see how you start a guy that will get 3-5 targets a game in hopes that one turns out to be a TD. Too many other options out there. Maybe he will throw some TDs to keep his fantasy value.

I guess the point of my post is:. Is he startable from here on out? My gut says no but....meh

Scorcher
I think we should wait for Teboo to figure out what to do with Decker before we try to decide. As for me I don't intend to put him in my line up these precious few games and hope he gets the bulk of the 100 yd pie. Teboo renders the rest of the Denver offense useless. Every time I hear someone talking about how great he is I feel like I am in the movie"Airplane" sitting next to the Robert Hays character listening to him talk about his ex girlfriend! The defense won the game last night, not Teboo. I have to give it to Sanchez, because he made a lineman relevant. I am through with Decker! there are alot of better options out there! I was thinking of picking up a Rams tackle and putting him in as a wide receiver.
Phat Rugby
I'm more interested in who will score me points than who should score me points. And he will score a lot of points with 3-5 targets a week? Unless his name is Jordy Nelson, doesn't work. Take away the Lions game and he averages a whopping 6 pts a week with Tebow. Who knows, maybe Tebow starts throwing but until then, his value is low.

historymike
I dumped Decker three weeks ago, and the feeling is akin to that wondrous sense of intestinal void associated with evacuating a three-pound chunk of excrement. But it does, and it has, even over the last 4 games. He's scoring points at a level that ranks him top 20ish in my league that awards .5 PPR.
