Lost this year with 168, 169, 188, 194, and, in the cruelest league loss in its 27 years of existence, a 231-213 coup de grace that eliminated me from playoff contention. Damn global warming! We have a team break 200 for a week maybe two or three times a season. Going to finish between 2nd and 4th in points and have a losing record. Can’t complain too much because I have snuck into the playoffs with crappy total points plenty of times, but it’s like all the fantasy karma hit me in a single season. OUCH! It's very random with the current week to week setup. At least it would impose a little more fairness into the equation while still keeping head to head matchups relevant I have absolutely no idea why anyone who plays in a serious league wouldn't use VP's. The extra work required to handle it for one. We use CBS and I didn't see a way to implement it there, so it would require doing it by hand. Which means the web site standings don't reflect the true standings (if do standings on VP). I think its a good system, keeps some element of head to head but removes some of that luck factor with the scheduling. Not sure if I'd consider our league serious, $100 buy in, winner gets about $400, some people take it really serious, others seem far less involved. Montana is da Man
In a 10 year running PPR league, I have the 2nd highest weekly score ever of 234, and I lost that week.

Full PPR and bonuses for yardage. If a QB throws for 500 yards it's a 15 point bonus....same for 200 yards rushing and receiving

purplemonster
Lol my nightmare scenario came true with that AP 90 yd TD. I will now be 126-17 overall, and will be 9-4 and miss a bye. I played the worst possible schedule, if I was any other team I'd be 11-2 or better. Actually one team I'd be 10-3. I won 6 weeks out of 13 outright in my 12 team league. purplemonster
Just for fun I asked a math nerd what my chances were of finishing as poorly as I did given my overall head to head record. 1 out of 27 chance. Or in other words, 96.3% of the time I would have had a better record. Eg 13-0, 12-1, 11-2, or 10-3. So you have company my friend!
