Was just looking at week 13 lineups

If Parcels uses his head and starts Drew Henson and if Trent Green is unable to go (questionable but likely to play) that would make 5 former Wolverine QBs starting in week 13

Henson for Dallas

T. Collins for KC

Griese for T.B.

Brady for N.E.

Navarre for Ariz.

just thought i would throw that out there!!!

GO BLUE BIG TEN CHAMPS!!!!

It's great that EVERY Wolverine starting QB since Michael Taylor has had a cup of coffee in the NFL:

Grbac

T Collins

Driesbach (was 3rd string for the Raiders for a few years)

Griese

Brady

Henson

Navarre

Outside of Brady, they all suck though. That's a good thing?

He said they "had a cup of coffee". True, not great, but how many other college programs can boast that many at any given time?

But I was talking post-Micheal Taylor.

Harbaugh was the aberration for 80s UM QBs - Steve Smith, Demetrius Brown, etc.....

Oh yeah.

I had a biology lab with Chris Zurbrugg.

Michigan definitely has QB's getting to the NFL---what about quality?

Can anyone say how many NFL teams (out of 32) drafted a QB at the 2004 draft? :D

Uh, is this a trick question?

1.1 Eli Manning

1.4 Phillip Rivers

1.11 Ben Roethlisberger

1.22 J.P. Losman

That's it. So the answer is 4. :D

I'll look it up later, but at one time the Maryland Terps had 7 QBs in the league at once, although I think one was actually on the roster as a punter (Seahawks). Gimme time, I'll find it.

Ok, quick search, here's what I found for Terps Quarterbacks in the NFL. All six listed where in the NFL in 96. I also believe there was one more odd ball I heard listed as a seventh. Played an other position, but played a bit of QB at Maryland. May have been a Seattle punter or Titans TE Frank Wycheck. Probably can't be counted as a 7th.

Boomer Esiason 84-97

Neil O'Donnell 91-03

Frand Reich 85-98

Scott Zolak 92-99

Stan Gelbaugh 89-96

Scott Millanovich 96

Actually, he did not say in the first round so according to this list here it would be 17 out of 32 teams drafted a QB in the 2004 draft.

Bramlet, Casey - Cincinnati

Hall, Andy - Philadelphia

Harris, Josh - Baltimore

Krenzel, Craig - Chicago

Losman, J.P. - Buffalo

Manning, Eli - San Diego

Mauck, Matt - Denver

McCown, Luke - Cleveland

Navarre, John - Arizona

Pickett, Cody - San Francisco

Rivers, Philip - N.Y. Giants

Roethlisberger, Ben - Pittsburgh

Schaub, Matt Atlanta

Smoker, Jeff - St. Louis

Sorgi, Jim - Indianapolis

Symons, B.J. - Houston

Van Pelt, Bradlee - Denver

yeah chezhead!

i think Brian Griese is not too shabby either---i'll take him over chuck and duck krenzel anyday--or joey harrington---

the Wolverines 2004 Big Ten Champions :specialthanksmsuandiowa:

While I can't believe Krenzel even got drafted, he is clearly the most likely of any of the above to win a Nobel Prize. That guy has a stellar future even if he never takes another snap.

Funny how times change. Griese is "not too shabby", Brees is "franchise" player. This is Bizarro World.

Say all you want about Big Ten Champions, because you certainly are that, but you know deep down that it's a hollow victory this year. If you deny that, you're lying or you don't understand what is the true meaning of the GAME.

At one time the University of Washington had 3 QBs from the same TEAM starting in the NFL - Mark Brunell, Billy Joe Hobert, and Eric Bjornson (3rd QB on that team, played TE for the Cowboys).

And Jay Riemersma was recruited to UM to play QB, though I don't think he ever took a snap there in a game.
