msaint
Actually, he was dead when Emmitt broke his record. But I'm sure that he was giving 22 a thumbs-up from heaven. They were very close off the field. 1147754 if I remember correctly, Payton's family was in Dallas that day and, to their credit, and as expected, they gave Emmitt all the props and support he deserved. A class family. That's why a lot of people are pulling for Jarrett Payton to at least have a serviceable NFL career. Must be tough to follow in the footsteps of a legend like Sweetness. Big John
Because in order to beat the '72 Dolphins they have to go either 18-0 or 19-0. 1147763 19-0 - 3 playoff games, like the 10-0 1972 Dolphins. (In this case 3 playoff games of the 1st-round bye)

Menudo
I think the Colts are the best football team to ever play in the NFL. I don't think anyone left on their schedule comes within 20 points of them. I think they cruise through the playoffs and win their first of 10 straight Super Bowls. NAUgrad
No way do the Colts go undefeated the rest of the season. When they play harder opponents, they will get beat. At some point they will get a little complaicent especially when there is nothing to play for. I remember it happening to Denver when they won their 2 superbowls, and it will happen again to the Colts. Bank on it.
Vet
They'll not only go undefeated this year, but next year and the year after as well.
