I lost in my league semifinals this weekend, then realized, did I really want to spend both Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day thinking about football???

That's an emotional condition called rationalization.

It's ok, don't worry. It's common when someone has had a traumatic experience like you have.

Therapy will help.

Yeah me too.I have a consolation game to play in but it does not compare to the title game.My family will enjoy having me back for the holidays. We have to find some way to make ourselves feel better about losing. :D

The trauma was losing this weekend because my opponent got three TDs from Chris Cooley. As for the rationalization, you are right. But, being able to sleep in on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day instead of getting up at 9am to check the announced starting lineups and latest injury news will be nice. And, I won my division in the regular season, so I am still getting some money back this year.
