modus
It's a mandatory TE position league. I'm leaning towards Gates, due to value of rolling out a possible top 10 WR at the TE position.
kingsleyjr
I know how you feel as I will be deciding on Gates or Holt, very tough decision. I haven't made up my mind yet, but I am leaning toward Gates.

He reminds me a lot of TO, but there is no question Gates will get a 1000 yards from the TE position if Brees stays in San Diego.
cre8tiff
The kind of TE Gates is comes by once in a very great while. Boldin is a very good receiver, but it will be easier to cover with someone else, due to the deeper talent pool.
Fletch
Due to the fact that the TE is mandatory, keep Gates. Although you really can't go wrong either way, Bouldin is the real deal in an offense that features him.

Wild Wombat
Gates. Boldin sure has talent, but the QB position for AZ is too up in the air. Sure, Warner will be back, but how long will he stay healthy next year... for me, that is what decides this.
SaintsFanUnfortunately
Gates. Both of those guys are in the top 10 for all keepers. Below is my ranking: 1. Alexander 2. Larry Johnson 3. LT 4. Gates 5. Tiki 6. S. Smith 7. C. Johnson 8. P. Manning 9. Boldin 10. C. Palmer
CowboysDiehard
In one of my keeper leagues, I have LJ and Gates. I'll be watching the Chiefs offseason moves carefully regarding their O-line. If it seems to be slipping, I'd consider keeping Gates over LJ even. I definitely like him over Boldin. Also, i think he GOES OFF this week against KC. They can't cover TEs. NinersIn2006!
I say Gates...although I think Boldin is FREAK, his position will be alot easier to cover than Gates, due to the deeper pool... Basically cre8tiff said...

TecmoBeast
Gates would be my choice in a TE mandatory league
