Savage Beatings
the Sporting News is reporting the Dophins trade a 2007 2nd rd pick for CPepp. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=72053 1368866[/snapback] A lot of confusion on that point right now. Still not sure.

According to the Saint Paul Pioneer Press writer Sean Jensen, the Vikings traded Culpepper to Miami for an unconditional second round draft pick in 2006. 'canes2004
Im just glad they didn't fork over all that cash to Brees. Getting Culpepper for a 2nd is a good deal especially if he's healthy. Sage is gone so Gus and Cleo will be the #2 and #3 which is great because we'll have some youth for the future and some vet experience if Dante isn't ready to go by Sept. They said that after giving Brees a physical yesterday that they didn't feel real comfortable about giving him all that guarenteed money. That arm could be worse than first thought or they are just being cautious. Either way losing a 2nd for a former Pro Bowler who may return to form seems like the better gamble than a ton of guarenteed cash for a QB with a possible bum arm. Brees could have been one hit away from another noodle armed Pennington disaster. We might have to give serious consideration to either Chad Jackson or Santonio Holmes now in the 1st round. Chadman
In a related story, after learning Culpepper had been traded to the Dolphins and was out shopping for a shiny new boat, CB Fred Smoot bought out his contract and signed with the Fish for the league minimum... thecerwin
I wonder if the dolphins are going to be looking into any high profile receivers? Owens?
MikesVikes
Did you guys see the news where the Vikings refused to let the Miami medical staff look at Daunte before the deal?
