Big Score 1
I don't think Eric Parker for the Bolts dropped ANY passes last year. He HAS to be numero uno! Good call Chargerz. Eric Parker? 80 Targets - 0 drops = 0.0%
junebugz
H Ward
Savage Beatings
Chambers? Just kidding! I think he dropped the most out of all receivers!
Gopher
How about Jermaine Wiggins?
yo mama
Steve Smith had a boat load of receptions. 100+ I think. Even if he dropped 20 passes for example that would still be 80% caught. He may be on the list. Edited to add another guess: Larry Fitz Good job. Steve Smith is another correct answer. With 7 dropped passes, Smith came in 5th place at 4.7%. yo mama
im gonna say alge crumpler, he has some soft hands Soft hands he may have, but Crumpler was not in the top 5. Nor was he in the top 15 best overall reception ratios.
yo mama
I think yo mama is referring to two different things here. Miller had a 75% reception-to-target ratio, but Harrison had a 97% reception-to-drop ratio. Big difference. Correct. The quiz was specifically adresseing the dropped pass-to-catchable pass ratio. However, reception ratio is another good indicator of good hands, so I'll mention that where approrpirate.
Down Goes Frazia
darrell jackson, jeremy stevens & koren robinson
yo mama
i'll guess Housh, Rod Smith, and Isaac Bruce Good job on Housh, who came in 1st place. Only 3 dropped catchable passes last year for an NLF lowest 2.6%. Edited July 14, 2006 by yo mama
yo mama
Joe Jurevicius, Housh, and Jason Witten You were late on Housh, but nevertheless correct. Good job on Whitten, though, who came in 4th place with 4 dropped catchable passes, which amounted to just 4.5%.
yo mama
how about driver Nope. Not in the top 15 overall for reception ratios, either.
yo mama
Maybe Witten, I remember hearing some crap on Sportscenter during the year saying he was the surest hands in the NFL, TE wise. You are correct, though someone beat you to the punch. No TE dropped a fewer percentage of passes than Whitten. HOWEVER, Whitten's 74.2% reception ratio was bettered by a three other TEs, namely Health Miller and Jermaine Wiggins (75% each) and Erron Kinney (76.4%). yo mama
Maybe David Givens or Deion Branch. Nope. Not top 15 for recption ratio, either.
yo mama
Good call Chargerz. Eric Parker? 80 Targets - 0 drops = 0.0% You know what, my research indicated the same numbers. But, for whatever reason, the source I'm getting this quiz from did not include Parker (though they probably should have). Bonus points for Chargerz. yo mama
I'm thinking Joey Galloway gets a spot here. Galloway was credited with dropping 8 catchable passes last year.
alexgaddis
I will guess Jermaine Wiggins...
yo mama
I will guess Jermaine Wiggins... Nope, not on the top 5 "fewest percentage of dropped passes" list. Though his 75% reception ratio was the 2nd best in the NFL last year out of all TEs and tied for 8th best for all passes targets in the NFL last year. yo mama
Chambers? Just kidding! I think he dropped the most out of all receivers! Nope. Three way tie between Burress, Muhammed, and Stallworth: 11 dropped passes each.
yo mama
Javon Walker, but of those with a lot of passes I would say DJax. Or Steve Smith. No on D-Jax.
yo mama
Torry Holt? 163 targets - 8 drops = 4.9075% Good, but not good enough to make the top 5 list.
yo mama
Anquan Boldin? 171 targest - 6 drops = 3.508% Yes, he did have 6 drops. But not all of the 171 pass targets thrown his was were considered "catchable," which ups his percentage somewhat.
yo mama
Larry Fitzgerald? 165 targets - 1 drop = .606% I don't know why Fitzgerald on the list, but he isn't. My research confirms what you found, that he had only 1 dropped pass, so he clearly deserves to be on this list. Bonus point for Big Score 1. yo mama
FYI, the last name on the list was actually Bobby Engram, who dropped only 4 catchable passes, or 4.3%. I was doing some research the other night, came across this news article by KC Joyner from ESPN Insider, and figured it might be fun to make a little quiz out of it. Though, as Chargerz and Big Score 1 pointed out, there were names that probably deserved to be on the list that Joyner didn't include, for whatever reason. yo mama
H Ward Ward dropped only 5 passes last year, which means he was probably very close to making this list.
Chargerz
You know what, my research indicated the same numbers. But, for whatever reason, the source I'm getting this quiz from did not include Parker (though they probably should have). Bonus points for Chargerz. Thank Yew!!
