Terry Glenn

Terry Glenn has a "bone-on-bone" condition in the back of one of his knees. The injury report lists him as probable with a quadriceps injury.

We were hoping to retire the phrase "bone-on-bone" after Curtis Martin's retirement. Glenn's season, and the rest of his career, will be about pain management. It's very possible he can play well through the injury. Eventually, he may require microfracture surgery, which would likely end his career. Fantasy owners shouldn't count on Glenn being a consistent factor moving forward. His status for Week 10 remains uncertain.

Seems like a good time to grap P.Crayton, imo.

More info from ESPN insider

"Cowboys coach Bill Parcells made an interesting revelation about the injury to wide receiver Terry Glenn. Glenn missed his second day of practice with what is reported as a quad injury. Parcells revealed during his Thursday press conference that Glenn has a bone-on-bone condition in the back of one of his knees.

Because the injury was at the back of the knee, Parcells was technically being honest by saying the problem area was near the quad.

Bone-on-bone conditions can only be repaired by microfracture surgeries, but those procedures are done as a last resort. Glenn can play through this injury even though it's painful. If he doesn't practice Friday, though, he may have to miss the Arizona game."

So fantasy players should avoid Glenn because of his "bone on bone" condition? :D

I would be VERY weary of starting him. If he does play, how long will he be able to handle the pain? A quarter , a half :D

TO's value just got shot through the roof, imo. Crayton has alot of talent and could step in and perform from the word go and he had 4-94 last week.

IRVING, Texas - Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells thought Terry Glenn would return to practice Thursday, but the veteran wide receiver sat out for the second consecutive day with a quadriceps injury.

Glenn is still listed as probable for Sunday's game at Arizona (3:15 p.m. CST), but Parcells said Glenn probably wouldn't play against the Cardinals if he doesn't practice Friday.

Parcells said Glenn has a little irritation under the lining of his kneecap, which caused him to be a game-time decision in last Sunday's loss to the Redskins. Glenn started and caught three passes for 26 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

If Glenn is unable to play Sunday, rookie Sam Hurd likely would replace him in the starting lineup because he plays the same position. Parcells said he wants third-year veteran Patrick Crayton to continue playing 30-35 snaps as the third receiver. Crayton averages a team-high 15.2 yards per catch and caught four passes for 84 yards against Washington, including a 48-yarder that led to a touchdown.

Per Sportsline:

Dallas WR Terry Glenn left practice early Friday after

apparently aggravating his injured right knee, making him

unlikely to play Sunday at Arizona. Coach Bill Parcells had

said Glenn probably wouldn't play if he didn't practice

Friday. Undrafted rookie Sam Hurd was lining up with the

starters during a walkthrough even before Glenn was hurt.

Glenn, who had missed two days of practice because of

irritation under his kneecap, appeared to re-injure himself

reaching for a pass early in practice. He hobbled off the

field and slammed his helmet to the floor of the Cowboys'

practice building. Hurd, out of Northern Illinois, won a

roster spot with Cowboys during the preseason by catching 15

passes for 200 yards and a score. He has one catch for 33

yards this season. Patrick Crayton, Dallas' third wide

receiver, has 17 catches for 259 yards and two TDs.

Reserve Glenn for Week 10 and continue to monitor the

situation before putting him back in your lineup. Hurd and

Crayton should only be started in deep leagues, but if Glenn

is out for an extended period of time their value would

increase.

Coach Bill Parcells said he wasn't sure if Terry Glenn would make the trip to Arizona for this week's game.

It's clear Glenn is closer to questionable than probable. If Glenn doesn't practice Friday, he won't make the trip. Patrick Crayton could slide into the starting lineup, although Parcells likes using him in the slot.

If he's not sure he'll even make the trip, i'd say he's out this week and Crayton makes a nice sleeper pick.

Agreed. Even with Glenn in, Crayton has racked up over 60 yards in 3 of the 4 games Romo has played in. Those two have really clicked, and I would only expect to see more of the same if Glenn is limited, regardless of whether Sam Hurd is technically named the #2 WR.
