Big Score 1
I'd bet that it'll be the same as last year when Rudi was disciplined for being late to a meeting. 1st offensive series for Perry, then Rudi the rest of the game.
MonkeyOne
KFFL:"ESPN reports Cincinnati Bengals RB Rudi Johnson will not start the Week 10 game because of disciplinary reasons. He will play in the game, but RB Chris Perry will start." Yep, doesn't look like Perry gains much value if Rudi is ready to go should things get hairy. theeohiostate
the Bengals are struggling and this is about a must win for them, this f'ing idiot just screwed his entire team over. M.Lewis should have made an example out of Henry, and when he lets Rudi in the game on the 2nd series he'll fail once again to set a tone for the behavior of some of these thugs. M.Lewis needs to get control of this team, NOW!
crispirons
He is starting ON THE BENCH. Chris Perry is starting on the field. This was a real surprise to me as I am sure it is to all of you i found out the real reason. perry slipped rudi a mickey-finn so he would be late to the team meeting. why you ask? chris perry has a brother, who has a cousin, who has a half-brother, who's friend plays fantasy football. his only backup to mcgahee is chris perry. thats how it all happened. I didn't mean to insinuate Rudi as a thug, i was referring to Henry's repeated problems and nothing being done by the team.

Now that I agree with. But to me, Lewis being an eyewitness to a murder then being convicted for "Obstruction of Justice" is far, far, far worse than anything Henry has done. Pope Flick
So if you punch your girlfriend, you get the start, as long as you're bailed to make the meetings. But if you miss a meeting you get benched. Way to go MLewis! Seriously, half this team has been arrested this year and they hang Rudi out as an example? I live here in Cincy and this has been a huge issue with the media. Now a big win over SD and it all goes away Typical!
devilwoman
geez...so will Rudi run like he is mad or just let down...? Should I play Hines Ward instead...aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh Edited November 12, 2006 by devilwoman

I do not believe he has been in any trouble. Chris Henry, now that is another story.
Randall
Are you referring to Chris Perry? I do not believe he has been in any trouble. Chris Henry, now that is another story. 4 arrests is trouble? Yeah I think he mis-underestimated his Chris's. May have to start Bush or Lundy instead. rattsass
geez...so will Rudi run like he is mad or just let down...? Should I play Hines Ward instead...aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh This is not the kind of decision I had hoped to be making today either. This sucks! I'll probably stick with Rudi though and hope he comes in with a chip on his shoulder. But I am not thrilled about it.

According Bengals message board he fell asleep during a meeting.

Randall
Even TO was witty enough to come up with an excuse for that. From Bengals.com, a little history on Rudi Johnson not starting: "Johnson didn’t start the 2005 opener in Cleveland when he was also reportedly late to a meeting, but he returned in the second series and rushed for 126 yards on 26 carries during the Bengals’ 27-13 victory over the Browns. He also didn’t take the first snap in last year’s 16-10 victory over the Texans in which he rushed for 88 yards on 19 carries."
Riffraff
Perry started the game, but the crowd didn't know. On the first hand-off the crowd was yelling Ruuuuudi. Jeremi Johnson (the FB) got a TD

There have been too many off field problems in Cinci for me to keep track of. Henry was suspended 2 games for his, correct? For me, who isn't tracking this closely, it seems there has been more trouble that hasn't resulted in benchings.
