theeohiostate
Texans LB DeMeco Ryans won the AP Rookie of the Year award. The second round pick out of Alabama posted the highest number of tackles for a rookie in 20 years and received 36 of a possible 50 votes. Bears DE Mark Anderson surprisingly finished second with five votes. Packers LB A. J. Hawk, Browns LB Kamerion Wimbley, Texans DE Mario Williams, Bengals DB Johnathan Joseph and Ravens DB Dawan Landry all received votes. Jan. 3 - 8:22 am et Great 1st overall pick for Houston getting Ryans....................Opps, that was Mario Williams, what happened to him
Randall
This was pretty obvious. They didn't even need to vote.
muck
Not bad ... your first two picks get votes for DROY ... Not many teams have even one guy getting votes and HOU has two.

Ryans has been a beast this year, a pleasure to watch on an otherwise painful tour.

xMRogers
I'm surprised at the 14 he didn't get. 6 or 8 maybe, but 14 seems high. Who in the he11 watched the Texan's this year and though Williams was a better player than Ryans...

LB'ers get the stats and the money..but defensive ends and Tackles decide how well the other team runs the ball. by looking at the stats every starting MLB is better than every starting DE or DT.but that is not the case. Pope Flick
Nothing surprising about Mark Anderson. 5th round DE has 12 sacks, without even being a starter.
rocknrobn26
Nothing surprising about Mark Anderson. 5th round DE has 12 sacks, without even being a starter. And playing minimal time! The guy has a 'nose' for the ball/QB. He could be awesome in the coming years! Can I say "Richard Dent"? Maybe??

I can say "Kabeer Gbaja Biamila". Nothing against Anderson, but remember not every good 3rd down rusher is a good full-time player.
Chavez
Mario Williams, what happened to him 47 tackles, 4.5 sacks.... ...not a complete stiff, but hardly deserving RotY consideration.

It was very odd watching a Texans defender be doubled.
