RussMan
http://www.lionsredzone.com/showthread.php?t=12900 Im trying to get his source but since the deal has the Lions trading out of #2 and picking up someone like Jamaal Anderson I can dig it. I dont want Brady Blueberry Quinn. And would pass on Joe Thomas to get the extra pick and a top defender.

RussMan
Yea. Why would the Lions want the best QB in the draft? Go Kitna Go. I agree that Kitna isnt the answer but its time the Lions build that team right. Drafting QB,WR,WR,RB,WR has not worked.. time for a different approach. The need to build a bad@as defense and fix the OL. Their defense was horrible last year.. bigger problems than Kitna. Also on the offensive side of the ball the Lions lost KJ to knee injury he may not be back until the middle of the season so they have no rb. The OL has been horribe forever.. just ask Kitna who was sacked, knocked down, and hurried about a million times.. thats nice put a rookie QB behind that line and let him get pounded., be good for his development.. lol
BigTen
If the Cardnials give a second and third for the swap the Lions would be fools not to do it. Of course they have Millen so we would probably give them out 2nd and 3rd for moving down.
piratesownninjas
the Lions lost KJ to knee injury he may not be back until the middle of the season so they have no rb. It was a foot injury that was operated on in plenty of time for him to be good to go for week one...
Shorttynaz
Maybe ARI is gunning for Calvin Johson ... The Cardinals have proved that they have probably the WORST o-line in all of the NFL and with losing an overhyped and underperforming Leonard Davis, they need that key o-lineman to build around. If they do trade up, Joe Thomas will not not be there come time for the 3rd pick..

Do you really think that I think that a team w/ Boldin, Fitzgerald and Johnson needs another high-end WR? I mean, as long as June Jones isn't the HC, that is? piratesownninjas
If they do trade up, Joe Thomas will not not be there come time for the 3rd pick.. Don't ever try and use rational thinking when predicting what Millen will do.
Doc Holliday
It was a foot injury that was operated on in plenty of time for him to be good to go for week one... As a Lion fan and a Kevin Jones owner in more than 1 league I hope you are right. but as far as I have read Jones won't be ready until after the season starts next season. The Irish Doggy
If you don't like the QBs, you always need a lineman. Top flight LTs don't grow on trees. I like Detroit staying where they are unless Arizona sells the farm.

We need to do what good teams do to win and build up our offensive and defensive lines.taking Thomas is the thing to do to me. but if someone is willing to overpay..now that is another deal.
