polksalet 6 Posted July 25, 2007 (edited) Just got back from Dallas. No good or bad news. I will post more tomorrow when my brain is clearerer and I can put together more complete sentences. Edited July 25, 2007 by polksalet
polksalet 6 Posted July 25, 2007 Arkansas has either lost or is refusing to send all of the test results to Dallas. Many of the tests seem crazy and impossible to the docs at Dallas and the tests appear to have been been screwed up. Supposedly tissue samples were overnighted to MD Anderson several days ago but have yet to be received. To say we were treated with care by Dallas would be the most extreme understatement ever. She now has her own surgeon, hematologist, and oncologist. I actually have emaisl for all of the staff involved as well as a couple of direct numbers to offices. We return to Dallas next week for more MRI's and extensive tests to follow.

Sam 0 Posted July 26, 2007 samples just arrived at MD Anderson. They expect complete results within one week. It's good to hear you now have some competent Dr.s. I'm sure that lessons the stress on you and your wife somewhat. You and your family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers Polk.

polksalet 6 Posted August 7, 2007 Dallas called just now. We have an mri at 1:00 pm but have to be in anesthesia by 11:30. Because of her age they are going to keep her overnight for observation. I have to take our church youth on a 130 mile round trip tonight and when i get back I have to find us a hotel room on priceline. I will be a busy boy. Money is still coming in and I'll be taking any/all contributions until the end of August ... then, after that, you'll need to contact him directly. Thanks to all of you for your generosity! polksalet 6 Posted August 16, 2007 Tyler is officially a cancer patient. Even though her mri was clean and everything looks fine the docs wish to see her once a month in Dallas for blood work and observation. I can't think of anything else to say.
muck 22 Posted August 16, 2007 "Wow" is the only other word that seems to come to mind. I guess it's better to observe and test and know, than to not observe, not test and not know (and maybe be surprised later on).
