Menudo
Had to share this one. Haven't been playing as much lately, and when I have things haven't been going as good as they did during my good run that I wrote about. I sat down at the $1-$2, $200 Max ring game, and this was my 1st hand in that game. The suits didn't transfer over, but they are irrelevant in this hand. Menudo
Sorry, that is annoying hard to decipher. Here is the short of it. Raphael (the other guy) was UTG with J-Qo I was UTG+1 with 10-10 Raphael raises to $7, and I call. Flop comes out: 10-10-Q, giving me 4 of the kind off the flop !!!!! Raphael Checks, I do the same. Turn comes out as K Raphael bets $14, I smooth call River comes out as Q, giving Raphael Queens over 10's, full boat Raphael bets $40 I raise to $80 Raphael re-raises All-In for $137 I quickly call and show my 4 of a kind They just don't get much better than that !!! Menudo
Wow, maybe I should play the lottery. For the 2nd time in one night, within two hours, I flopped four-of-a-kind. This time, sadly, I didn't get payed off as much, but, still, I've never gotten 4 of a kind off the flop before in my life, and it happened twice tonight. Menudo
What site do you play on? Their hand histories are brutal to read and follow. . . It's Bodog. It looks good on their software, but, it doesn't copy and paste well. Maybe there is somewhere else that you can get those reports ?
Easy n Dirty
Literally within three minutes of reading this last night, I get dealth K-8 suited in middle position. Under-the-gun raises to $3.50 (blinds are $.50/$1), and I folded, which is a good fold I'm sure - and the flop comes K-K-K. Another caller won this pot with pocket 5s, so I woulda' gotten a little something out of it, but not a monster pot. In my experience, it's fairly rare to collect on quads, except in those rare instances like Menduo's above where the other guy has a boat. Big Country
It's Bodog. It looks good on their software, but, it doesn't copy and paste well. Maybe there is somewhere else that you can get those reports ? Their are hand history converters out there, but not sure how well even the converted hand histories would transalte onto the huddle boards as I don't believe they have the images for the various suits loaded as icons. Regarding the first hand, good thing he played a weak hand like QJ off from early position and hit. Gotta love that.

Seattle LawDawg
One of the most lucrative hands I ever played...in a card room with a bad beat jackpot Playing 2/5 NL. I'm on the button. A 3x raise and 2 calls around to me and I've got KK. I reraised the size of the pot. BB doubles my raise. Folds around and I call. Flop comes AKK. BB checks and I toss out a small bet hoping that it was small enough for him to stay in. BB reraises...I push all in (~450) and am immediately called. He turns over his AA for AAAKK and of course I've got AKKKK. Turn and River are....well, I don't remember but they weren't an Ace so I take down a decent pot. BUT!!!!, the bad beat jackpot was ~20k. Loser got 1/3. I got 1/3. The rest of the table divided the remaining 1/3.

Big Country
Wow, that is an awesome pay day !!!! Why no bad beat jackpot Bodog ?????? Nice payday there SLD. Party poker added bad beat jackpot tables back when they were in the states. Something like an extra dollar per raked hand or so was taken to feed the jackpot, just like live games. That jackpot grew fast, and was probably hit 2-3 times a week on average I would guess. Though, there were times when it would really get up there if it had been a while. I'm not sure if it really brings in any more players, so probably one reason Bodog doesn't have them.... that and the major change to the programming required (at least, I would think it would be fairly major)
Cyclones
Here's another good poker quiz, took me about 10 minutes to figure out in my head (if you know the answer already its obviously much easier.) What's the worst hand that can be the nuts?
alexgaddis
I think a good poker hand would be 5 Aces

muck
Worst hand that is the nuts? YOU: Q / Q ME: doesn't matter ... you win BOARD: 2 / 3 / 7 / 8 / Q rainbow No straight and no flush possibilities. So, I think that is the lowest hand you can have where you have the nuts and you know it...Q / Q / Q / 8 / 7... muck
Thats right, three queens is the lowest possible hand that is the nuts. It's not just three queens ... but it's having pocket queens with one on the board. Why? If you have a queen in your hand and two on the board, I may also have a Q and a higher kicker than you. But, if you have two queens and one on the board, the best you know I can do is have a pair of queens and a pair of something else.
Menudo
Had another great one last night (trust me, I'm getting my share of bad beats as well)...... This was in the $200 Max, $1/$2 cash game. I don't have the hand replay in front of me, so, this is just out of memory. I had 9-9 Flop came out 4-4-9 I checked and got 4-way action, and I eventually smooth called a $7 bet Turn came out 9 Bet was $12 from a known maniac......I raised to $25..... he called. River came out King He bet $35..... I raised all-in, which I normally wouldn't do, but, he was a maniac and had about $125 left. He thought for his entire time, while I prayed for a call, but, he folded. I showed my four 9's, and he said that he had pocket 5's in the chat window. My 3rd, 4-of-a-kind, in a week........ woo hoo Edited July 10, 2007 by Menudo
Sgt. Ryan
I lost a tourney Friday night and Im still sick about it. 8 of us, with a $1000 each in chips, $25 buy in. Down to final 3, Small stack (small blind) had $200, I, (Big Blind), later turned out to be mid stack with about $3750, and Big stack. (Dealer), had $3800, though neither of us knew at the time. Blinds are $100/$200, Small blind folds. I play, being big Blind Dealer plays..... My pocket cards are As 9d flop comes - Ah 9c 6s I bet $200, he raises to $1000, I re-raise to 2K, he re -raise to 3K, I go all in, , he calls. His cards are Ac 6c Right here the only thing that can beat me is a 6 right? Turn is 8c, doesnt help either of us, or so I thought River is 4c and I think hell yes, I just won. Wrong...... Dude pulls a Flush out his ass. Next hand small stack is all in on blind, and loses to a Q high card. Im still sick about it. Edited July 10, 2007 by Sgt. I'm so negative and worried about bad beats all the time, that I probably would have noticed the runner-runner club possibility, but, that is an absolutely awful beat. If he gets the 6, that is a bad beat in itself, but, to get runner-runner to the flush, I feel your pain. Poker can be fun, but, it definitely can make you want to pull your hair out as well.
