Big Country
I know Vegas has been discussed to death in many threads, but wanted to consolidate reccomendations for eateries into a current thread. I'll be heading there in a few weeks with my Dad. On the Saturday night I'd like to take him out to a nice dinner, most likely a good steak house but I am open to suggestions for other establishments (I am not a big seafood fan, so while the restaurant can serve good seafood, would prefer that it not be exclusively a seafood place). That said, what reccomendations can you all make.
T_bone65
Steak House 42 in the Flamingo (Used to be Conrads) will not disappoint
H8tank
The best steak in vegas, maybe the world for that matter, is Charlie Palmers inside 4 season which is inside Mandalay bay.
rocknrobn26
Steak House 42 in the Flamingo (Used to be Conrads) will not disappoint Very nice, and The Range Steakhouse is great also. Nice view of the strip, piano player, and very nice ambiance.
twiley
I can't offer any advice, I've never really eaten anything in Vegas and usually drank my breakfast. Alchico had the honor of watching me drink my breakfast one morning. He posted on The Huddle while I downed a six pack at 9am. Skippy
All three of the suggestions already posted will do fine. Of them Charlie Palmers is the best and also the most expensive. If you want a very good steak but don't quite have the Charlie Palmer money to fork out you can go to the steakhouse that is in Circus Circus. I am not kidding about the place in CC. It is the best thing about CC and you will get top notch quality for a more comfortable price. Oh and the atmosphere in the CC steakhouse is nothing like CC. It is very nice and upscale. So in short, Palmers is the way to go but if you don't want to spend ala cart money any of the other three mentioned are perfectly fine. I have hit them all and would go back to them all. But is there any chance you have a bigger version of that avatar? Like, big enough for my 52" HDTV? Wow. EDIT: On the actual topic - I was just there a couple weeks ago, and went to two steakhouses - one at the Luxor and one at the Wynn. Due to my level of intoxication, I can't remember the names of either of them, but both were delicious and fairly expensive. SheikYerbuti
If you like meat done right, and don't mind a 20 minute car ride off the strip: Go out to the Red Rock (beautiful new casino, less than 2 years old), and go to THE SALT LICK. Amazing BBQ.
Hugh B Tool
Z-Tejas off the strip a bit towards the airport. Excellant fusion of Tex/Mex. Great meat dishes, great drinks and smokin' waitresses Edited October 18, 2007 by Hugh B Tool
