Qball86
Growing up near Philly I'd have to say Randall Cunningham... ...being a Cowboys fan there was something about watching Bill Bates on kick coverage... I actually did prefer to watch someone get lined up rather than someone juke down the field for a score. I missed a lot of good "broken ankle" plays from the offensive side of the play cause I was watching the D try to line em up. Singletary Bednarik(did Frank wake up yet!) Huff Lane Lewis Lott Atwater Dawkins Lynch man those were some hard hitters and THAT was exciting cuz often times you could see it coming and would cringe just before it happened. MikesVikes
There have been a few over the years that I have went out of my way to watch.... QB - Fouts, Montana, Lomax, Stabler, Blanda RB - Brown, Matson, Walter, Sayers WR - Bambi, Largent, Bobby Moore(Rahshad) Jack Ham, Howie Long, Lawrence Taylor, "Big Daddy" Lipscomb and a host of other defenders. The number one though has to be hands down Brown. Neil Lomax? What did he do to impress you?
MikesVikes
For defense, Alan Page on the line and Joey Browner in the backfield were amazing talents. Page could dominate an offense. Browner was into martial arts and had very strong hands. He could break a beer bottle with his hands. Browner was the one that tackled a Denver runningback (Wilhite) from behind as he was going to score on a long run. He messed him up pretty bad on that play.
