WAS/BUF

Buffalo gets the ball back with under a minute and no timeouts from their own 20. Moves down to the WAS 30 on a great throw by Trent Edwards.

Wasthington then gets flagged for 15 yards for calling back to back timeouts to ice the kicker and Lindel nails a 36 yarder (after making a 51 yarder that didn't count) to win it.

About time someone got screwed for that last second timeout business.

I've never seen anything like that. As a head coach, how can you not know the rules?!? You could just hear the crowd moan as that penalty was announced...priceless.
Did Gibbs not know the rule, or did he just have a momentary brain fart? If it was the latter, I think it was a bone headed move but everyone makes mistakes and I can't fault him too much all things considered. If it was the former, that was inexcusable. It's not like it's a brand new rule either. It's been around for three years.
