Wolverines Fan
Per Rotoworld: Chargers Offense-TM- Chargers Dec. 2 - 11:17 pm et "Sources high in the Chargers' organization" reportedly confirmed Sunday that head coach Norv Turner will be retained in 2008, regardless of what happens down the stretch of the season. The sources tell beat writer Kevin Acee that Turner was all along going to be given at least two years, and that management is satisfied with Turner's plan despite the Bolts' inconsistency in his first season. While Philip Rivers hasn't made immediate progress under Turner, it's most likely good news for the young QB that the same system will be in place for another year. Big John
Well, there's always hope for a coaching change in 2009. Remember that Shotty had that vote of confidence right before getting canned.
Big Score 1
If Norv remains the HC, hopefully A.J. Smith will let Norv choose his own Coaching Staff for 2008, instead of forcing a Coaching Staff on him. I couldn't believe it when I read that while Norv was made the HC, Smith is the one who picked the rest of the staff for him. Talk about putting your HC in a Lame Duck position. McBoog
Remember that Shotty had that vote of confidence right before getting canned. Yup! That was immediately before he allowed bothOC and DC plus half the coaching staff walk out the door and tried to brng in his relatives to fill the positions. I would like to see Cottrell replaced at the very least. Maybe now that Rivera understand the 3-4, he could get promoted to DC??? Cotrell did not "unleash the dogs" until the D got up by 2 TDs. Even then, he went into a soft zone with heavy preasure! KC was either getting 10 yards a pop or sacked at the end of that game!
