Randall
Police: Watch out for bogus Packers tickets Press-Gazette Local law enforcement agencies are warning football fans to watch out for people selling counterfeit tickets to Sunday's NFC championship game between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants at Lambeau Field. The Green Bay Police Department is working closely with Ashwaubenon Public Safety and Green Bay Packers security to investigate several complaints of counterfeit Packer tickets sold this season. A news conference was set for 3 p.m. today at Ashwaubenon Village Hall. Two suspects were arrested and more arrests are anticipated. Sellers of counterfeit tickets are expected to be targeting local bars and motels on Friday and Saturday and Lambeau Field before Sunday’s game. If you see anyone selling Packers tickets on your property, call the appropriate police agency: Green Bay police at (920) 448-3200 or the Ashwaubenon Department of Public Safety at (920) 492-2995. How to spot counterfeit tickets Buy tickets from someone you know or a reputable dealer. In Green Bay, the seller should have a solicitor’s permit, which must be displayed in plain view. The easiest way to identify the counterfeit tickets is to look at the back of the tickets. When you hold tickets on a 10- to 30-degree angle, you can see the watermark “PACKERS” printed on the back. Counterfeit tickets will not have the watermark. Counterfeit tickets are about a half-inch shorter than authentic tickets. The color is off and the graphics are blurry. One edge of the ticket should be perforated.

Randall
'Seinfeld' pulled to upset Manning - not that there's anything wrong with that Jake Thomases The Journal News The Fox network affiliate in Green Bay doesn't want to report on a Packers loss during its 9 p.m. news broadcast. It's doing its part to prevent that from happening. WLUX Fox 11 normally airs a "Seinfeld'' rerun at 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays. But when it heard that "Seinfeld'' was Eli Manning's favorite show, it decided to pull this Saturday's broadcast in a promotional stunt. "Why give comfort to the enemy," station vice president and general manager Jay Zollar said. "Green Bay Packers fans do not want any of the New York Giants to get a good night's sleep, and FOX 11 will do its part." Fans can vote on the station's Web site, fox11online.com, on what to replace "Seinfeld'' with. The choices are "M*A*S*H,'' an infomercial, a Vince Lombardi special, or a rerun of Inside the Huddle with Packer Donald Driver. "That's why the good Lord created laptops and DVD players," Giants PR director Pat Hanlon said. Now if only the local Best Buy would pull the "Seinfeld'' box set from its shelf for a weekend. Ratings bonanza: The Giants' upset of the Cowboys drew the most viewers for an NFL divisional playoff game in 11 years. The Giants' 21-17 win Sunday on Fox was watched by 40.1 million people. It was the largest audience for this round since 42.7 million viewers tuned into the Cowboys-Panthers game Jan. 5, 1997.

gbpfan1231
The bogus tickets were supplied by Jerry Jones..2 for each member of the Cowboys The tickets the cowboys had were not the fake things. It was actually The Cowboys who were fake and acting like a real team for the first 3/4 of the year and then the real "team" showed up.
