AtomicCEO
http://www.aps.org/ APS Climate Change Statement APS Position Remains Unchanged The American Physical Society reaffirms the following position on climate change, adopted by its governing body, the APS Council, on November 18, 2007: "Emissions of greenhouse gases from human activities are changing the atmosphere in ways that affect the Earth's climate." An article at odds with this statement recently appeared in an online newsletter of the APS Forum on Physics and Society, one of 39 units of APS. The header of this newsletter carries the statement that "Opinions expressed are those of the authors alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of the APS or of the Forum." This newsletter is not a journal of the APS and it is not peer reviewed. X Once again... the people who oppose the consensus of climate change research resort to posting FAKE information to support their cause. Polk, constantly posting easily disproved misinformation HURTS your cause. Wanna dig up the link to H8Tank's Nobel Prize winner? cre8tiff
I welcome the debate, in the hopes that some resolution can be reached and we can move forward. Need something on the level of the Scopes Monkey Trial to get folks to listen about the damage we are doing to the environment, though. Ursa Majoris
I read as far as the mention of that British nutcase being the guiding force behind all this and that was all I needed to know.

AtomicCEO
you are refuting him with a news release from last november about something written in an online newsletter. Did you even read mine? I think the whiff-finger points at you. It's from the front page of the APS web site from yesterday. They were reiterating what they said last November during a similar fake story. And his article claims that the organization has reversed it's view... And the response is "Our view remains unchanged". Yeah... I'm way off base here. :highfive: Edited July 18, 2008 by AtomicCEO
