whomper
Donnie, You're out of your element. I laughed at that too. Every time Buscemi tried to join the conversation Goodman shot him down

Chavez
The part where he drops the roach in his lap, tries to douse it with the beer he's drinking, and crashes his car is a slice of fried gold. Or the bit where Jackie Treehorn answers the phone, writes something on a piece of paper, takes the piece of paper, and leaves the room - then the Dude gets all Sam Spade and shades it in to see the impression of what he just wrote and it's a doodle of a giant woodrow. I wouldn't call it Bridge's BEST role - his career has been too good for that (talk about "underrated"), but it may be his most iconic. That and the dream sequence are definitely my favorite parts of the movie.

"I just checked in to see what condition my condition was in..." I agree the movie is probably a little bit overloved, but knuckleheads who drive a good movie into the ground don't mean it's any less funny. Skrappy1
"I just checked in to see what condition my condition was in..." Did you know that it's Kenny Rogers who sings that song? Dude: Who are they? Brandt: Those are Mr. Lebowski's children. Dude: So, racially, he's pretty cool then? The Sherriff of Malibu, he's a real reactionary. I myself dabbled in pacifism - not in 'Nam of course.
