Bronco Billy
After being bullied and pushed around most of the season, the DEN D showed some signs of playing without completely embarrassing itself. This isn't to say this is the recreation of the '85 Bears - don't get me wrong. But with some rookies playing instead of retread vets who have failed with other teams - some multiple times - the D finally showed some life & gumption. LBs Woodyard & Larsen with CBs Bell & Williams actually looked like they belonged on the field, as opposed to what DEN was lining up there previously. Special kudos to Larsen for starting at FB, LB, and special teams. Maybe there is some hope now that Shanahan has decided to play the best players instead of playing worn out and/or talentless vets. MrTed46
would be saying that if Roddy White made that catch at the end?
WaterMan
Good job stopping a rookie QB.
Bronco Billy
would be saying that if Roddy White made that catch at the end? There's no guarantee ATL would have won the game if White had made the catch in the end zone. ATL wasn't exactly a brick wall when it came to stopping DEN (a freakin' white FB scored 2 TDs on them, for Pete's sake!). Regardless, the D played this past Sunday was vastly superior to almost all other games this season (yes, that's how bad the D was before). keggerz
Good job stopping a rookie QB that is a better QB then Michael Vick ever was.
Belushi
The NFL is becoming impossible to predict. Cleveland's offence looked great against Denver but they've struggled all year long. Atlanta's looked great for most of the season on offence, yet get shut down by a defence that had a FB as a starting middle linebacker. Turner should have run for 200 yards against that D. It seems like there's a couple of elite teams, and then everyone else is just the same. Heck, even Detroit made a game of it against supposedly one of the best NFC teams. I rushed to start Jerious Norwood in my local after reading your recommendation, but then I remembered I dropped him weeks ago. Thanks, BB! Thanks, BB! Peace policy Never in my wildest dreams did I think Shanahan would install a plethora of rooks to start on D. He's got a thing for his vets, and it had to chap his ass big-time to sit prize FA acquisition Koutivides and start Larsen at MLB. Besides, Norwood got tweaked in the course of the game.
