H8tank
You wanted change, you voted for it in 2006. You still wanted MORE change, so you got that in 2008! Look what we get!!! Want a raise? Don't beg to your boss. Just vote yourself one. That's what the United States Congress just did. For the fifth year in a row, lawmakers voted not to reject their automatic "cost of living" raise that will increase the annual salary of members by $3,400 to a total of $158,103 per year. http://usgovinfo.about.com/cs/agencies/a/raise4congress.htm How does that feel? Here are some more gems: WASHINGTON – It's something any bank would demand to know before handing out a loan: Where's the money going? But after receiving billions in aid from U.S. taxpayers, the nation's largest banks say they can't track exactly how they're spending the money or they simply refuse to discuss it. "We've lent some of it. We've not lent some of it. We've not given any accounting of, 'Here's how we're doing it,'" said Thomas Kelly, a spokesman for JPMorgan Chase, which received $25 billion in emergency bailout money. "We have not disclosed that to the public. We're declining to." The Associated Press contacted 21 banks that received at least $1 billion in government money and asked four questions: How much has been spent? What was it spent on? How much is being held in savings, and what's the plan for the rest? None of the banks provided specific answers. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081222/ap_on_...eltdown_secrets The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of likely voters found that only nine percent (9%) give Congress good or excellent ratings, while 54% give the legislature poor marks. Just one-out-of-50 voters (2%) think Congress is doing an excellent job. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_con...nal_performance But somehow, someway, I am sure this is the lame ducks fault. cre8tiff
How long after we surrender do they start teaching Iraqi in our classrooms? Like a fine wine, your sarcasm is getting much better over time. I detect hints of leather and tobacco in the finish on this one.
AtomicCEO
I stopped reading your post at that point since that simply made no sense. Don't be a partisan whore. You should have kept reading... next he tried to blame Bush's Bank Bailout, managed by the Treasury secretary Bush appointed, on democrats. He's a wonder, it's true. Personally, I'm surprised that the change we voted for in 2008 is already affecting policy despite the fact that they don't take office for another month.
