Crazysight
During Tuesday's press conference, new Lions president Tom Lewand remarked how the Falcons' only high-priced acquisition in 2008 was "Michael Bennett" and commented on how the Steelers allowed "Greg Lloyd" to sign with Miami. And we thought 0-16 was embarrassing. Lloyd is supposed to be Joey Porter in Lewand's mind and "Michael Bennett," of course, is Michael Turner. Good of owner William Clay Ford, Jr. to do his due diligence before promoting Lewand to team president. He'd better stay the heck out of personnel matters. wiegie
On the brightside, they haven't lost a game yet this year.
Riffraff
And they are only 0-1 on head coach signings.
policyvote
Lewand is 100% non-football. He's a brilliant businessman and cap-and-contracts guy. He got Ford Field built almost singlehandedly, and he's recognized as being quite good at what he does. Chuck Rogers, Joey Harrington, Mike Williams, Roy Williams, Shaun Rogers, Cory Redding, and Jeff Backus all got huge, cap-busting deals in a four-year window, and all those guys except Redding and Backus are gone. Yet the Lions are in no kind of cap trouble. Lewand IS a bit of a monster truck aficionado, but he's undeniably good at flipping coins. Duchess Jack
Its hard for me (not being a fan of an NFC North team) to not want the Lions to have some success. they've taken the first step in kicking Millen to the curb.
WaterMan
They just need a draft that isn't all WRs.
Square
They just need a draft that isn't all WRs. What? Mr. Wide Receiver doesn't think they need more wideouts? Who stole Waterman's password to this site?
nuke'em ttg
pssst........ "it's Lions...not Chihuahuas"
WaterMan
What? Mr. Wide Receiver doesn't think they need more wideouts? Who stole Waterman's password to this site? There is only one Randy Moss. I don't see why Millen thought a team without a QB, RB, or defense was going to win a single game.

Its kinda silly to expect the president of an NFL football team to know about football.
