westvirginia
Maybe they'll keep making the new Camero long enough I can still get a one... That car's not even in production yet, is it? Chrysler took the Challenger from concept to showroom faster than the Camaro will get all the bugs worked out. Go buy a Challenger.
Jimmy Neutron
That car's not even in production yet, is it? Chrysler took the Challenger from concept to showroom faster than the Camaro will get all the bugs worked out. Go buy a Challenger. There are a few of the Cameros in showrooms around here, but I have yet to see one on the road. I've never been a big mopar fan - the muscle is there, but they lack styling, IMO. It was true in the '60s and holds true today. Of all the Chrysler resurrections, I like the 300C the best. I love the latest Camero incarnation. The late model Mustangs are OK, but they should have retroed the rear end as well as the front.

Perchoutofwater
We should have just let the companies go under and restructure. What we've done is just delay the enivetable. They were in bad shape prior to the "financial crisis" and need the massive changes they can only do by restructuring.

Chapter 11 worked for the airlines, there's no reason it won't work for GM.

Randall
Why not just buy 51% of their stock, fire the board, put who you want in place and then sell the stock in a few years for a profit when the company turns around. Didn't Sweden do something similar a few years ago with the banks? I believe they nationalized them temporarily and then sold them.. those unions want to cash in their votes Yeah it's the unions and the workers fault. Because we aren't a socialist nation yet. Are you seriously advocating this? It's bad enough that there is talk of federalizing the banking industry. AtomicCEO
you should try the google sometime another another I did try the google. I googled "Obama 4 billion GM" and got no relevant hits. I saw no mention of Obama in any of those stories you just linked to. It says: "The U.S. government will release $4 billion in additional aid to General Motors Corp on Tuesday as planned" Is this part of the original disbursement of cash that Bush set up, perhaps? Link me to a story that actually says what the title of this thread says, please. TIA.
AtomicCEO
Oh snap, b:tches "President Obama will release $4 billion more in loans to keep GM afloat, an Obama official and a company official confirm. But the automaker already was expecting that money as part of a commitment the Bush administration made in December." Damn you Obama for not violating the deal Bush already made! LIEBERALS!!!!!!! SOOOOOCIALISTSSS!!!!!
