Shorttynaz
I know Marion wasn't happy here in Phoenix, but I was not a fan of Shaq coming here a year and a half ago when he did. It's nice that they found someone willing to pay his rediculous salary, but once again - the Suns didn't get much of anything in return. A player they're gonna cut, and another player that's already said he's gonna retire.. Oh, I almost forgot.. They got the vaunted 58th (3 or 4 from the last pick of the draft) overall pick!! Steve Kerr has come in here and completely blown up what progress this team was making. Now all he has left to do is move Amare for a pair of workout shorts and a few basketballs.. What a tool! What a tool! +1000000 F'n Kerr needs to go----If Amare gets traded, it's gonna be tough to watch the Suns anymore! Even though Shaq was overpayed, he was a good reason to watch the Suns the last year and a half. LeBron will get his first championship with Shaq.......He still wants to get at least one more. Wouldn't it actually make sense to trade him if they're not going to be able to re-sign him? Is the heat melting your brains out there? Stoudemire's contract is up after the 2011 season - however if he is as stupid as Shawn Marion and thinks that he is worth MORE than the almost $20M he will be making in that final season, he can opt out after the 2010 season. So, is he a free agent? Nope - but he can be if he wants. Problem is with other big names like Wade and James, how many teams are going to have all that money to spend? The heat has nothing to do with melting brains - after all it's just a "dry heat".
Big Country
The deal does save Phoenix quite a bit of cap/luxury tax money. Though, now I am hearing that the Magic may be close to acquiring Vince Carter.
Big Country
League executives say the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors have discussed a possible trade that is centered around sending Amare Stoudemire to the Warriors for a package that would include Andris Biedrins and the No. 7 pick in the draft. But Warriors coach Don Nelson is telling friends that there’s nothing seriously brewing there. Interesting....... Warriors just dumped Jamal Crawfords contract in a deal with Atlanta for Speedy Claxton and Acie Law (can you say buyouts), so they free some cap room to bring on Amare's contract....... I don't see the Suns moving Stoudemire, but with Steve Kerr calling the shots, nothing suprises me. They move Stoudemire - who do they have left? Nash and Barbosa? Might as well move them too as they're not gonna want to hang around for this long re-building process.
