untateve
Do you suspect collusion or stupidity? If you believe collusion--veto trade and both are out of your league next year. If you suspect stupidity--the trade stands. An owner is allowed to be as stupid or as smart as he wants to be. Who are you to tell him how to run his team? --the wisdom of untateve

Hugh 0ne
I think you should veto any trade that you don't like. That's why you're the commissioner. You need to let the league members know that you command respect, vetoing trades is a great way to do this.
The Wolf
I think you should veto any trade that you don't like. That's why you're the commissioner. You need to let the league members know that you're a dictator so vetoing trades is a great way to do this. Fixed. Don't forget to pay their league fees also since you're telling them how to manage their teams...

detlef
it's funny that you put your roster from an 8 team league in your sig. or anyone that puts their rosters in their sig for that matter. People put their rosters, and often their scoring system in their sigs because it helps when asking for advice because nobody has to ask who else they have on their roster or the relative importance of certain players due to scoring rules. This way, I never have to veto them because I know that I am above reproach. Additionally, this removes the pressure from league owners of having to put together trades themselves. I see it as a win-win. I'm all about synergy.

Hugh 0ne
adrian peterson (minn) for earl bennett non ppr to a bears fan?would you guys let this through Yep, and then at the end of the year I'd get rid of the Bears owner. Unless they're cheating, you can't veto trades. Why is that so hard for some for you to understand?

detlef
Yep, and then at the end of the year I'd get rid of the Bears owner. Unless they're cheating, you can't veto trades. Why is that so hard for some for you to understand? You know, I used to be less on this side of the argument until last year. Mind you, I never went so far as to veto trades, but I'd make a big freaking deal about it when it seemed pretty damned obvious that someone was getting fleeced. I mean, the argument for vetoing this sort of thing often has less to do with protecting players from themselves and more to do with not upsetting the balance of competition for everyone else. However, last year, after a team who actually fleeced the same owner twice in the same season still didn't make the play-offs anyway, I was reminded, "what the hell", it's just a game and you just have to worry about your own chit. That doesn't mean, of course, that you shouldn't give someone a rash of crap about making such a freaking lame trade.
Furd
What I find notable about these types of threads is the utter indifference people show toward league rules. Is there some type of general clause that applies to all FF leagues that allows/governs vetos? Otherwise, how can you answer the question posed by the OP?
