ynot78
My opponent this week is done with his matches. I am currently up 127 vs 126 and got Vincent Jackson playing tonight. Is it allowed for me to bench Vincent Jackson and play Michael Crabtree that has a bye? That way I secure that Vincent Jackson doesnt leave the match with a -1 score, after a rough tackle that leads to a fumble on his first play? whomper
Normally I am very anti starting a guy on a bye but looking at your scenario, if it secures the win . Go for it

In our leagues you get hit with a $10.00 fine ( real money) for every line up infraction
Furd
It depends upon what your league rules say. Given that you have a valid reason for it, I don't have a problem with it, conceptually.
BearBroncos
It's a sound strategy.
Whiskey Pimp
Sure but you'd better hope there isn't some stat that gets changed later on in the week that results in your opponent beating you by 1.

Very valid point! Defense or even player stats can change a day or so later.

Yes Seattle this week when the punter tossed a pass and the next pass yardage was credited to the punter instead of hasselbeck ( Later changed )
Big John
Yes Seattle this week when the punter tossed a pass and the next pass yardage was credited to the punter instead of hasselbeck ( Later changed ) Or for defenses, a sack can be changed to a non-sack or the other way around affecting scores. isleseeya
play to win ( don't play not to lose ) Vince Jackson is not a tomato can ...and i would have to believe he will not end up with negative pts for sure Plus point on possible stat change later in week is a valid concern as well
LayLow
If you bench him, karma would tell us that a WEN stat change will cause you to lose. This will cause your leaguemates to laugh at you forever which is pretty bad.
ynot78
heheheh guess I'll just keep him in then. No point in risking it. Thanks!
Medal of Honor
It's far MORE likely a stat change will occur than VJax getting a -1. Guy's a stud, and I'm hoping for a big game from him so I can win my work league.
wolfer
The Elias Sports Bureau does all the stat checking (and overturning) for the NFL. Official changes occur on Thursdays. I've personally seen a win turn into a loss twice, mind you those were IDP leagues (a tackle credited to another player for example). But the bottom line is, don't you want to humiliate your opponent? Go on, kick the crap out of him!
T_bone65
Play your lineup you submitted
