rajncajn
Who else scored points for Kevin Smith's safety yesterday? I didn't see the game & had to do a double take when I saw 3 points for it on my scoreboard. Had to make sure those weren't negative points. That's what we call Lagniappe. piratesownninjas
Didn't see the play; don't know what you're talking about. Stafford threw an INT in the endzone. Dingus Rams DB takes it out of the endzone, then runs back into the endzone and is tackled by the great Kevin Smith.

Big John
Lagniappe is standard fare in any Cajun's language repertoire. Regional dialect, chiefly Southern Louisiana and Southeast Texas. Basically a small bonus added to what you were getting.
