The EPA declares carbon dioxide dangerous

I find it astounding that this happened today and there is no discussion at all.

A few comments I found interesting:

"The factual discovery of the massive scientific fraud forming the basis for man-made climate change theory should be enough to stop anyone, including the United States government, from exploiting the lie for monetary gain to the detriment of society. That is obviously not going to be the case. It is criminal. "

And this:

"So I breathe out hazardous waste? Really? We’re really going to make this announcement? So are we also going to make dirt hazardous to plants or water hazardous to fish – it’s only essential to them living, (just like us exhaling)?! "

A few comments I found interesting . .

"Aliens are secretly running the Government"

"The Men in Black are real."

"Lady Hawke does not own a wolf shirt"

Notice i did not provide any links, so you cannot disprove my comments . . . .

HINT: If you actualy want to have a discussion about something scientific, links are a good idea . . .

Have to agree here, right wing science is so complicated and stuff.

Because around here, as firmly entrenched as everyone is on this topic, we may as well argue about whether there is a god and what form that god takes.

The rest of us have just come to grips with the fact that neither side will be swayed and have just moved on to more important things like surfing porn.

So far I have avoided all stinky lady.hawke's bait. Because really no one in the world is this obtuse, and it's obviously a well laid out fishing expedition.

But to address this completely linkless statement, I have heard Sean Hannity and other morans make this sort of argument which is really the summum of moranicity.

Cyanide is natural. CO2 is part of the life cycle but in too great a quantity it will kill you. Heck, too much O2 is bad for you. My urine is also natural. To try to argue that because something in a certain amount or a certain use is good Ipso Facto all of that thing is good is just moranic. Or to use the speaker's logic. since dirt is good for plants and water good for fish, obviously dumping three ton of dirt on top of my geranium is good for it, and putting my goldfish in saltwater will make it thrive....

Really?

Addressing questions about the reliability of climate data after the unauthorized release of e-mail messages and files from a British climate research unit that provides data to the global weather group, he said there was no evidence that the various independent estimates showing a warming world were in doubt.

Of course NASA is in on it. They faked the moon landing after all. Who else has the experience to pull off a world-wide conspiracy if not NASA!

This was all over the news last night. Only someone not trying would be unable to find a link. I purposely decided not to do the work for anyone.

I googled your second quote to see what kind of moran made it.

The only relevant site that comes up on the first page?

Thehuddle :D

Oh. Right. I'm sure it's a quote from one of your "reliable sources"

So if that were helium instead of CO2 then...

I did a senior project on a tributary whose headwaters flow throw a desolate landslide area up here in northwest northwestern Washington. The landslide exposed a bunch of recent sediments rich in naturally occurring (from "recent" volcanic activity) mercury and arsenic that was then transported away a few miles to downgradient flat farming lands. Because of the exposed landslide, the creek is depositing a Hugh volume of sediment in the farm lands. The farmers continue to dredge the river and stack piles of dirt along the river to stop the river from flooding. They won't spread the sediment on their land because it kills their crops. No-one takes it as fill because it is categorized haz-waste.

They are desperate to get rid of it. You should you show these Yankee farmers how awesome you are and spread their landslide sediment all over your property. It's free, shipping and handling included. :D

All I did was post comments that I found interesting. Both of them were sent to me in private email. It's a good thing that Google will not return such comments. I thought the comment was quite clever. Junk science is just that and should be ridiculed.

All those that want their energy costs to skyrocket based on nothing, raise their hands!

So you posted made up quotes that were sent to you in a chain e-mail.

And you wonder why no one takes your seriously . . .:D:D

And that's exactly what the good Dr. was doing when he pointed out how completely moronic the second quote you posted was.

Listen, if you want to say that there's conflicting evidence regarding CO2 and such, that's one thing. But to simply say we exhale it so there's obviously nothing to worry about is the height of stupidity.
