Randall
The Eagles do not need Vick to sell tickets No but I can see him going to St Louis taking some heat off SJax and playing until they can groom a new QB. Kind of like a rental car you abuse. Edited February 9, 2010 by Randall
fitzkek
I've no doubt that they could get something for him if his contract weren't so costly +1. That's why they can't and won't trade him. He'll be released and resigned by the Bills or Rams or whoever for much less. That's how the NFL works.
i_am_the_swammi
+1.That's why they can't and won't trade him. He's only costly if he's going to be a back-up. As a starter, his $5M is a bargain. And I doubt, if there are two suitors, both of them will roll the dice and let him be released, because chances are, they'll have to spend $6-8M to sign him as a free agent. he'll be traded...first team to offer up a 3rd rounder gets him. I wouldn't mine Vick on the Bills but I would be quite disappointed if we gave up a 3rd round pick for him. How about Marshawn instead? Piles
Mining him from your sigline? Haha, the guy made a horrible mistake and I've never been a huge fan of him as some of my previous posts have stated. However, when your starters have been Rob Johnson, JP Losman, Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brian Brohm you'll take just about anything (ie desperate times call for desperate measures). i_am_the_swammi
maybe....but if he puts some excitement into an oterwise boring team (see Rams, Bills, Browns), and can get that team from here-to-there while they solve their QB woes, and put some people in seats in the process....a 3rd round pick would be a bargain. Lots of ifs....
Swashbucklers
Did any one catch The Michael Vick Project on BET last night? I DVR'ed it and watched it. My wife was mad because they had interviews with his girlfriend and family and she said she didn't want to feel sorry for him. First episode went from when he turned himself in to when he signed with the Eagles. He seemed extremely regrettful, but it still seems a little forced. G.K.Trey
There is Zero chance that Vick is starting for the Eagles next year, if anyone other then McNabb is starting it will be Kolb who the team seems to be high on.
