this sounds reasonable enough. I'd like to see it balanced with harsher penalties for people who abuse these expanded freedoms by trying to traffic firearms across state lines, into states that aren't so liberal with their gun laws - like a lifetime ban of their firearm license at a minimum and/or hefty fines and incarceration.

Not me. This is an issue I care nothing about. All it is is a waste of taxpayer money. With any luck, all the gun inadequates will start shooting each other.

To me this has less to do with guns, and more to do with the proper role of federal government. It is the states taking back the power that the federal government has usurped form them. It was nice of you to insult those that enjoy the shooting sports.

Are those that enjoy the shooting sports all inadequates, then?

I wonder where this is eventually going to go? Do we get another civil war of some kind or will the feds eventually back off on guns? I can't imagine them just letting go of this power, but it's enough of a political loser that they might let it go without a fight. If they do let it go, we'll have gun manufacturers in every state where it's economically feasible to do so.
