How long before Obama, dammit, Osama gets a hold of a few of these bad boys?
Perchoutofwater
This is how the drug cartels in Mexico get their firearms. The politicians would like you to think they are coming over hear and buying them a gun at at time at Joe Bobs Rifle Emporium, but they are getting the majority of them from overthrown governments and crooked governments that got them from our government. This is why when the NRA and other groups have repeatedly asked for the serial numbers of the guns that were confiscated and made the news last year that they deny their request. The Mexican government and our government does not want you to know that it is guns our government has given to crooked governments in the past. wiegie
Exactly what part are you all worked up about, Az? This? Defense industry analysts said the sale of the aircraft is a key to U.S. efforts to boost support from Arab allies against Iran. "The U.S. is trying to create the strongest effort to deter and contain Iran," said Anthony Cordesman, a scholar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. "If you look at all of these sales, the U.S. is working to create a Saudi Air Force that is far more capable than Iran. These sales help give Saudi Arabia the capability to convince Iran that it can't use missiles or air power against Saudi Arabia or its neighbors." Yes, but much like with the Prussians, with whom we had very little contact through J.Q. Adams from the later 1790's through about 1801, we did not stand by them and eventually this turned out to lead to some disastrous foreign policy issues in later years. Furd
My history is a little hazy, but didnt our gubment give arms to the rebels in Afghanistan back in the day to help them fight off the Russians? That's nothing. In the 1970's, we sold to Iran about 80 F-14 Tomcat fighters. Rumor has it that a couple of them are still flying.

cre8tiff
Dude, I hope that we're marking those bad boys up. They absolutely are. It'll keep a lot of defense sector jobs away from the unemployment line here in STL.
