25 reasons why China is #1 and US is #2

there is a bit more to the article than the list, but I'm only posting the 25 reasons...

And how about all the long term oil contracts China is signing anywhere and everywhere they can around the world, and setting up their own platforms around the world wherever they can. While we induce moratoriums on ourselves and block companies from tapping massive oil reserves under our own soil - while we subsidize Brazil's deep water drilling projects in waters multiple times deeper than the rigs we have shut down for "safety reasons" are in. OK, I am getting really sick of this 'redistribution of wealth' accusation of Obama. First of all because it is applied as if Obama had instilled a new heretofore unknown and foreign concept to the United States. You would be really hard pressed to find a single republican politician, pundit, voter who did not beleive in redistribution of wealth. At it's most base level the famous 'safety net' that all rightwingers even the most extreme beleive in for the most destitute in our society is a redistribution of wealth. Case closed.

Obviously there can be great disagreement on the degree of redistribution, but using the term willy nilly to evoke some communistic tendencies of our president is really silly.

Also if you are going to make accusations of communistic redistribution of wealth, please apply it to situations where this philosophy is even remotely applicable.

With the example you just gave you could have just as easily accused obama of redistribution of wealth because we do not beleive in child labour whereas China and India do.

 

Which brings us to....

While I respect some of your posts, this one seems a bit antsy. No where in his post did he mention Obama or any political party for that matter. It's almost like you were holding that post for the right time, only to choose the wrong time. The collective "we" he used seems to imply to me that the USA has been shooting ourselves in the foot for some time now (with tactics we have used) versus what China is using. Just IMHO.

Maybe what we should do is start considering $10,000.00 a year a really f*cking good job like they do in China. That works well for their economy but I'm not sure how well it works for their people.
