The Angry Pirate
Just wondered if anyone else who drafted the PHI D/ST is still holding onto them or have you already cut ties? I just don't see them getting better by sticking with the Wide 9 format on defense. Am I the only one that thinks they'll eventually be able to bring all of that talent together to form the elite defense that was touted before the season began, or am I holding on to tight? (sad Top Gun reference) Any thoughts?
dherback
I dropped them for the Texans D and will probably just stick with Wade and his unit (although losing Mario for the year sucks)
FantasyFBL
I dropped them already and picked up Washington's defense.
Scorcher
I dropped them for the Bengals
Pip's Invitation
You can't run Wide 9 if you have crappy linebackers and safeties. If your league deducts for lots of yards and points allowed, drop them. If it doesn't, they might be worth holding on to, sacks and turnovers should increase after tweaks are made during the bye. BearBroncos
I still have them on one of my rosters and plan on holding them. They have to much talent for them not to get rolling! Against Grossman, they might have a huge day this Sunday!
ced1001
I also dropped them for the Bengals Defense. Not only do they not have Wide 9 personal, but Asante Samuels is whining again. And he only plays when he wants to play. Dream Team my A$$.
The Angry Pirate
I think (hope) they'll show up this week to quiet the nay-sayers but agree that a Wide 9 with that personnel isn't ideal. Should be interesting to see who still has a job in a few months if this keeps up.....
The Wolf
I am keeping them...in a 16 teamer and pikens are slim. Who the heck makes an o-line coach a defensive coordinator?????
The Wolf
Someone in my local dropped the Bills D and I grabbed them. Now with Buffalo and Philly, I am still leaning Philly IF ONLY because of the facts that: 1) they are now a desperate team, 2) they are playing a division rival in a game they HAVE TO win, and 3) Rex Grossman is looking like Rex Grossman again Tough call but I am sticking with Philly for one more week; will deal with Week 7 byes next week. historymike
I droped them in one league, but I did not waste a draft pick on them (waiver wire pickup from a panicky owner). In all my 10-team leagues I have reverted to the TDBC (team defense by committee) approach, and I plug in the waiver wire defense with the best matchup each week. Last week was Cincinnati, who played well for me in two leagues, and this week I like the Raiders at home versus Cleveland (three leagues I am rolling Raiders dice). I'm curious, do you pay for roster moves or have some other limits on them? I often wonder when people have this strategy of TDBC and they're using the waivers for best matchup if they only do that becuase roster moves are free and unlimited. I actually just added the Bengals this week playing the Colts....they will embarrass Painter.
historymike
One league I am in charges $1 for a roster move, but the other two leagues have relatively unrestricted free agent pickups.
kcmast
Bills were still hanging on wire, so I added them. I still have PHI in my lineup this week, but I may change.
