uglytuna
The New England Patriots have scored first in an NFL record 17 consecutive games (20, including postseason), surpassing the previous mark of 15 set by the Miami Dolphins in 1978 Teams scoring first have won 66% of the time this season, and the Patriots are 11-1. But credit for the mark goes beyond the offense. The Patriots have allowed just 41 first quarter points. Other nuggets from the regualar season portion of the streak: - Games when the Patriots scored on the first possession - EIGHT - Games when the Patriots defense prevent opponents from scoring first - EIGHT - Games when Bethel Johnson returned the opening kickoff for a TD - ONE - Games when Tom Brady TD passes opened the scoing - FIVE - Games when Cory Dillon TD runs opened the scoring - THREE - Games when Adam Vinatieri field goals open the scoring - EIGHT UGLY TUNA
Gak Attack
This is quite the feat in the era of the salary cap. But, they still lost to Pittsburgh. Go Steelers!!!

Jrick35
The Patriots are an amazing organization. They are doing exactly what everyone said you wouldn't be able to do in this day & age. They are building a long lasting Dynasty. Just about the only thing bad I can say about the Patriots, and if you were to ask them I think they would agree with me here, is that Ugly Tuna has decided to make himself their biggest cheerleader. nhoops
I try to stay away from these threads.... Although UT does make some valid (factual) points the way he does it will not win him any popularity contests. He does keep things interesting though. Boston Homers, just a thought UT = Pete Shepard
sundaynfl
UT you should try posting something more than post after post about your beloved Patriots... I think that the Patriots are a very good team, but the more I read the spew from your keyboard the more I want them to lose!

Steelers 13 Ravens 30 New England 24 Ravens 3 Ugly Tuna 603433[/snapback] So the Steelers beating the Pats in a H2H matchup doesn't make the Steelers better than the Pats but the Pats beating the Ravens who beat the Steelers does make the Pats better than the Steelers? Yeah well I'll bet Ben Roethlisberger's daddy could beat up Tom Brady's Daddy!! So There!! Edited December 10, 2004 by Jrick35
theeohiostate
When i read the post topic title, it seemed like an add for the "Blue Oyster". Needless to say it took awhile to open this page and i felt very uncomfortable doing so. IMHO i think the Tuna is asking for help.
