godtomsatan
Apparently he should have lied. I don't see anything inflamitory in the remarks whatsoever and if the Pats are running around worried about what Venderjagt has to say, well then the've already lost this game. 649724 And if people are running around worried that the Colts or the Patriots are going to play any different on Sunday because one of their players says something to a reporter, then they need to find something to do for the next few days to keep themselves occupied. CaptainHook
Who gives a flying crap what Vanderjagt said. It is such a lame, benign statement anyway. Boston has blown it up to more than it was. I saw earlier reports that Vandy said the Pats "cannot win without Law", and that he "guaranteed a victory". None of that happened. When the real comments came out, Pats fans had already decided Vandy had promised a victory. He didn't say anything of the sort.
PatsFanCT
And if you recall, if the Colts hadn't fumbled twice in the red zone, they would have won. 649773 This is getting old... If Branch doesn't fumble the punt at his own 15, the Colts wouldn't have had the opportunity to score, OR fumbled in the red zone.
CaptainHook
So you decided to leave out the next line in that quote, eh? I said "But they didn't." PatsFan04's point was that the Pats played "fine" and won even though Law played little. The Pats didn't play fine. It's not like they dominated the game. It was a hard fought game that Law played in most of the time. Now, he is gone, and Seymour probably will be too. Patsfan04
Enough with the talk and stat comparison, Pats fans think the Pats will win, Indy and neutral fans think the Colts will win. Wouldn't it be ironic that the Colts ended their 2003 season in Foxboro, opended their 2004 schedule with a loss in Foxboro, and ended their 2004 season in Foxboro? Does something like this happen often? With the Colts on the Patriots home schedule next year, would the NFL be cruel enought to subject the Colts to another World Champion banner unveiling on opening night? (if it all plays out as hoped) Edited January 11, 2005 by Patsfan04

(if it all plays out as hoped) 649906 That would be something. It's gonna be a great game either way and I do have an extra seat that I would like to offer up to Swerski or Hook. Please wear your Indy garb and don't worry the crowd will treat you with the proper respect. As for Vandy, who cares. But it does give the "No Respect" attitude to the Pats and fans for that matter that seemed to work a couple of times already

I will wear my Colts gear. Let me know. Edited January 11, 2005 by CaptainHook

Czarina
The whole reason any of this is getting any airtime in NE is due to what he did the last time they were in NE. He was taunting the crowd on the sidelines during the game. He kept pointing at the goal posts and saying "it's mine" (by the way it was right after that that he missed a FG) What was funny about this is that a week after that game, my husband met David Givens while shooting a commercial. He said something about 'after what Vanderjagt did' and Givens wasn't aware of it. So my husband told him. Givens got quite a hoot out of it. "He did that?!" Rodney Harrison referred to hims as Vanderjerk. Said he ought to maybe spend a little more time worrying about making his kicks. Compared to past statements by him this was very vanilla. Much ado about nothing from an attention seeking doofus.
broncosn05
The kicker saying this... Man he better hope that the Pats don't go for some roughing the kicker maybe 6-7 times. But heck if an analysis says that then all I do is go... How hard can that job be?
CaptainHook
Vanderjagt does that on every game winning kick. As far as kickers go, he's one of a kind. He moans constantly about the Colts brass bringing in kick-off specialists. He cries everytime the Colts bring in another kicker in the preseason. BUT, he makes more than he misses. Just do what I do. Ignore him, because he is a freakin' kicker.
forever in debt to mo lewis
its also well known that as Vanderjagt walked out for the game tying kick in September he rubbed his thumb against his index and ring fingers in Ted DiBiase fashion and said "money in the bank" to which Rodney replied after "looks like ya broke"

Puddy
Man, what a dope. I'm a kicker myself, and I keep my mouth s-h-u-t and just kick. 649483 Okay, we've all missed the biggest news in this thread. Msaint is a kicker?? That explains how he had time to write a book, since he's only on the field a few times per game...
