Vote Quimby2
Since Barron is gone I say they look at the best D lineman available, either Travis Johnson DT or Marcus Spears DE.
Fatman
Although I doubt it will happen, I'd love to see the Texans take Troy Williamson here to compliment AJ. They've got to fix that O-line, so I say Jammal Brown, OT, Oklahoma.
Sgt. Ryan
Jamie Sharper is on the verge of being traded, They will draft a LB early. Not sure this early if Merriman and Dj are both gone, but wouldnt surprise me if they didnt jump up and take Crowder.

Why? I would be really surprised if they took Crowder here. Physical specimen, but some injury and character concers make it hard for me to believe he goes in the top 20. Vote Quimby2
Can't imagine Crowder going this early either. If they wanted LB seems they would trade down to get Crowder or the kid from Virginia (Blackstock or something).

Physical specimen, but some injury and character concers make it hard for me to believe he goes in the top 20. 745081 Sharper has 1 yr remaining on his contract but is 30 yrs of age, the Texans do not wish to extend him after this yr for the price of 25-30 million, so a trade is likely while he is still under contract. Houston also cut LB Jay Foreman, which makes up half of their LB core and the best 2 LBs on their squad from a yr ago. Jason Babin is their LOLB, Morlon Greenwood takes over Foremans old LILB spot, and K Wong will be the new ROLB, but A Peek is a speed rusher/DE tweener and would not hold up in the middle, thus the Texans would have a huge void in the middle of their defense when they move Sharper. My guess is they either try and move up to get Derrick Johnson, or move down to take Channing Crowder, but KC, NO are in the market for Lbs and Green Bay is also interested in upgrading its LB core and may move up if Crowder slides to far, and has a history of reaching for a LB with Nick Barnett in round 1, 2 seasons ago, so Crowder may not fall to far behind

I still doubt they would go LB here. IMO, they will start Peek & Wong on the inside and Babin & Greenwood on the outside. Jamaal Brown would be a good pick, but I think the onyl way they would do that is to trade down a few spots to do it. I would say they will go WR here, with Clayton or Williamson available I would prefer them go Clayton.

Wong used to play for Minny inside, but was exposed badly inside, and I think he is not even starting material in the league. They need 2 LBs if they trade Sharper. Peek is originally a DE/OLB, but last year he did play some ILB, as they were just trying to get him on the field somehow. But he is naturally a OLB. I do agree with you on Wong. I did not really care for him in MInny and do not care for him now either. He should be at best a backup. I guess they could go with Crowder, but he has some off the field issues and the Texans are pretty conservative when it comes to that kind of stuff. Ziachild007
I heard that Channing Crowders stock is plummeting.. 745757 I have heard the same, that it is due to off the field isssues. Is that what you have heard, or is it due to his workouts/combine times.
