Clubfoothead
If the Eagles were to designate TO as their franchise player this year, how much would he make? Yes I know they don't need to and I know a bunch of you a$$hats will reply with random numbers but if anyone could tell me it would be appreciated. We've got a dirty bird fan in the office. Why I don't know he has no connection with Philadelphia but he's been one forever and it would help in our little debate.

Hitman
Not sure what the number is for WRs, but I think franchised RBs this year (Edge signed, S.A. still not) would make around 8.1 meeelion dollars. The criteria for establishing the # is as follows: NFL rules require teams to pay a "franchise" player the average of the top five players at the position or 120 percent of the player's salary cap number from the previous year, whichever is higher. Still looking for the exact # for 2005 WRs.... I think 120% of his cap # from last year just might be higher though. TitansFan
120% of his cap number from last year is $8,692,839. I don't know the average of the top 5 WR's.

Caveman_Nick
"First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither countest thou two, excepting that thou then proceedest to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy holy hand grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.
