Big Score 1
Stallworth acknowledging the importance of this year "It's just a matter of me really showing the coaches what I bring to the table and what I can bring to this offense and this team." Stallworth showing the new Coaching Staff what he brings to the table. Stallworth blanked during Tuesday afternoon's practice while lining up as the X receiver. As quarterback Drew Brees tried to direct him to the right spot, Coach Sean Payton yelled in frustration, "I need another X. I'm tired of looking at him." On Wednesday came even more frustration when Stallworth tweaked his groin and sat out for most of both practices. The Times-Picayune...Thursday August 3rd 2006 You show 'em Donte`. neilfish2
Keep your eyes on Devrey Henderson. Coach Hasslett didn't like the kid and didn't give him a chance. Right now he is listed #2 in front of Stallworth.
tomfin2000
Keep your eyes on Devrey Henderson. Coach Hasslett didn't like the kid and didn't give him a chance. Right now he is listed #2 in front of Stallworth. The word out of camp is that Henderson is being given every chance to take over the No. 2 spot and is litterally dropping the ball. I wouldn't be surprised if neither one of them is starting on opening day.

Avernus
Where's rajncajn? We need his take on this! yeah, I liked Henderson to take Stallworths job...now if he's coming up short..... I wouldn't be shocked to see a TE or Bush being the #2 WR on the team... Zach Hilton?...I see him overtaking Conwell who probably just got hurt picking up the mail... InThaKnow
I would love for them to trade for another WR. Stallworth is a burner, but he just seems to not show up on some plays. Couple that with the fact that he gets hurt at least twice a year, and as a coach I would be fed up with him as well. I can't bring myself to pull the trigger on this guy and draft him this year. Goopster24
I think I have picked Stallworth in at least one of my leagues the past three years. The guy kills me every year. I think I'm gonna try to stay as far away as possible this year. I might snag him if he falls very, very late.

Randall
yeah, I liked Henderson to take Stallworths job...now if he's coming up short..... This story says he is doing better. Stallworth is an ideal #3 WR..... I have him as a #4 behind Wayne, Driver and Walker. Had Jimmy Smith too, but that didn't work out too well. Last year Stallworth was too unpredictable. neilfish2
I haven't been to camp, but reports are saying that some of the younger rcvr's are stepping up. But I really don't think they are going to a over take Stallworth. With Devery, there is alot of talent and if the old coaching staff would have givin the guy a chance last year instead of sitting him because they said he didn't know the rule book, he would be a ligit #2. tonorator
looks like his stock is dropping fast based on this AP article. questioning whether he will make the team ... Saints WR Stallworth could be on the bubble Associated Press 8/14/2006 JACKSON, Miss. Donte Stallworth is considered one of the N-F-L's more promising young receivers. But even he has yet to secure a place with the Saints. Stallworth is entering the final year of his first contract. He set career highs with 70 catches for 945 yards last season. But that is no guarantee he'll be with the team for the September tenth opener against Cleveland. He has yet to spend significant time working out for coach Sean Payton after an offseason shoulder injury and a training camp groin pull pushed him off the field. He returned to practice late last week, sat out the preseason opener against Tennessee and will get his first close scrutiny this week. Payton says he won't go by someone's word -- he has to see the player. Stallworth has had two consecutive injury-free seasons. He says he's not really worried about his future with the team. In his words, "I've made some plays here and there."
