Duchess Jack
Miami is going to interview him and of everyone they are looking at (Chan Gailey, Jim Mora, Cam Cameron, Ron Rivera, Ron Turner, Ken Whisenhunt and Pete Carroll) he is the only one who has gotten me a little excited. I get the impression that he's of the young, hungry assistant coach mold that is seeing so much success in the NFL today. I have nothing to base that impression on though. The only bad thing is that I was hoping for an offenseive coach because I like what we have going on on the D side of things. Deep down - I think I still want Bates. alexgaddis
I would hate for the Vikes to lose Tomlin after the solid year he had as the D coordinator...that said, stepping into the role of a Head Coach is completely different...he seems quite young to be ready for all that... Savage Beatings
He's one of the lone bright spots in the Vikings organization. It wouldn't surprise me to lose him to a better offer, but I really hope he sticks around long enough to help the Vikes get back on track. xMRogers
Think he went to a great college....(yes, that's a shameless alumni plug for a IAA school)
CaP'N GRuNGe
I think the Vikings should promote him to HC and trade Childress to the Dolphins for a 6th round draft pick. A conditional one at that.
Ursa Majoris
I think the Vikes should get rid of Tomlin ASAP and let Childress take over the defensive play calling as well.
wildcat2334
solid career, can still hit 90+ on the gun when he wants. Rubber arm, give you a ton of innings, struggles vs. lefties. Relies on off speed more as he gets older. Slider still has bite, still solid Righty set up guy.

I am not sure he is ready to move up just yet. Remember the Vikings D was ranked nearly last against the pass. Don't get me wrong, he was a bright spot amoung Viking coaches but my feeling is he still has something to prove. I do hopes he stays for a couple of years.
