Menudo
I dont care for that hit. He's just looking for knock-out shots away from the play... It was a running play, and he was blocking, like he is supposed to

Menudo
Stop contradicting me with facts... I will tell you this, I'm not sure if Ward was bragging after the hit or calling for someone to come look at Reed. If he was bragging I love HInes Ward, but, if he is bragging, while the play is still going on, that is disappointing.
Trots
I think calling for someone that quick is a form of bragging, regardless...
Menudo
On the same note, down 35-7, if I were a Ravens fans, I wouldn't like my players acting like they just clinched a Super Bowl win after every tackle.

Ziachild007
actually, after the hit it looked like he was calling for a flag for something. He was moving his hand like he was throwing a flag I was pretty sure the first time he was calling for some help for Reed from the Ravens bench. I just went back and watched it again and I am still pretty sure thats what he was doing.

Chavez
It is amazing, for a guy his size, how many knockout hits HInes Ward has had in his career. Well, for one, Ward IS generally blocking against other "smalls" - DBs - with probably a more-than-occasional LB thrown in. Second, considering the work ethic most WRs have, even if a defender is aware of Ward's reputation, the other however-many-games they've played probably cause it to slip their mind that there is a WR roaming around on running plays loaded for bear. Imagine the scene: LB takes towards the edge to chase down the running play, next thing he sees are his feet flying over his head and the sky. And he thinks "what the he...oh yeah, Ward. Dammit." DMD
Ward was definitely signaling to the Ravens bench to send someone because he knew he cracked Reed with the crown of his helmet on Reed's chin. I would suspect he may be fined for that hit. He led with his helmet.
