abishagenaden
Looks like Chase threw it away against OU, and Pat broke his chances...so is there no outright favorite now? McFadds? Tebow?
Sgt. Ryan
Tebow will win it, and deservedly so.
abishagenaden
Tebow will win it, and deservedly so. I haven't watched many of his games this season. Saw a couple last season when it was QBBC with Chris Leak. While his numbers appear legitimate, is his success just a product of Florida's system, or is he a unique talent? In other words, do you think he will also succeed at the professional level?

Tebow broke the SEC record of rushing Touchdowns, topping Hershel Walker, Shaun Alexander and Gerrison Hearst, and he is a QB. plus he threw for 29. Not sure what system allows that kind of success. Tebow is a phenominal athlete and FLA will win another NC before he is done there. I just hope its not next yr.

BS Miscreant
Tebow's avgs per game 260yds and 2.5 TDs passing 70yds and 1.8 TDs rushing Anybody who doesn't think he's the guy is just searching for reasons to give it to someone else. Sophomore maybe.
abishagenaden
Ok so it looks like Tebow is a lock for the Heisman. But does he make it in the pros?
BS Miscreant
Ok so it looks like Tebow is a lock for the Heisman. But does he make it in the pros? Right now he could probably play a couple different positions. After another year or two he might add QB to that list. The guy has been good all year and he gets more and more polished as he goes. Sgt. Ryan
Yes he makes it in the Pro's. Tebow is a more polished passer than Vince Young, and just as good a runner. His size wont hurt him, neither will his passing, or speed. Yes he makes it as a pro.
GWPFFL BrianW
I was very surprised to see what a good passer he turned out to be, and he's only gonna get better. Combine that with his size and speed. I think he'll be a nice prospect.
untateve
I have an admitted bias. However, I think Tebow will win it. I've watched Tebow a lot this season. He has arm strength, accuracy, he's big, he's fast, he's strong. He also has that "it" quality that causes players and fans to rally around him. As a sophomore, he is the leader of this team. He is one of the first players to practice and one of the last to leave.I was under no illusion that other Gator QBs would make it as a professional. I believe that Tebow will be a stud at the professional level.
abishagenaden
If he wins, that would make it the first time in history a sophomore has won it, right?
Grits and Shins
Chase wasn't likely to win it anyway unless he had an extremely outstanding game against OU ... and even then I don't think he would have won it. I am a CD fan as he is a local boy. He appears to be a very smart QB and can make plays happen ... his ability to throw on the run is amazing. untateve
If he wins, that would make it the first time in history a sophomore has won it, right? I was wrong. If tebow wins, he will be the first sophomore to win the heisman.
millerx
If he wins, that would make it the first time in history a sophomore has won it, right? Yep. Which makes me think he won't win it. There have been several freshmen and sophmores that should have won it in the past but did not just because of that fact. One specific example I can think of was Hershel Walker at UGA. he got screwed because of his tenure, pure and simple.

With early departures from college for the pros, aren't sophomores the new juniors amongs the truly talented?
