theeohiostate
From Rotowolrd Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Redskins have signed RB Shaun Alexander to a one-year contract.Ladell Betts' knee injury gives Alexander at least a couple weeks to back up Clinton Portis, but he's unlikely to have any fantasy value. Redskins boss Jim Zorn coached quarterbacks in Seattle when Alexander was in his prime, so he knows how far he's fallen. Don't expect more than a handful of touches unless Portis gets banged up. isleseeya
unless Portis gets hurt i cant see much value for Alexander ...especially when Betts gets healthy again in a few weeks
Savage Beatings
Portis Betts Cartwright Alexander Why?
Menudo
I'm dying to see the dollar number on the contract. If it was more than the veteran minimum, they vastly over-=paid. Check that, if it was more than one dollar, they vastly over-paid. After watching that guy last year, I'm convinced that he has NOTHING left. michaelman
he had a nagging injury last year.. but regardless of his ability he's not gonna see action unless portis goes bye bye
ROYALWITCHEESE
Portis Betts Cartwright Alexander Why? What are you under a rock?? LOL J/K Betts is out two weeks. Rock is a special teams dynamo and we need him there. No need to be stuck without a RB if Portis gets dinged--especially with the soft part of the schedule coming now. Better safe than sorry and lose our footing in the division/playoff race...

TripleW64
Basically a rental until Betts comes back. He may not see the field very often during the few weeks he's in DC. I think it was moreso Zorn being familiar with SA and SA being familiar with the offense. It won't take him 3 weeks to learn which hole to fall into. Seahawks21
This is baaaaaaaaaad news for the Redskins fans. If Shaun is mentoring anyone on how to run Zorn's offense, that player could be in trouble. You better hope he doesn't teach Clinton the patented "Shaun Alexander butt roll". In the end...very insignificant. Maybe get five touches in a few games. Probably as much of Zorn throwing Shaun a bone as anything.
