i_am_the_swammi
Why does Galloway all the sudden seem like a potential-stud capable of 1200 yards and 10 TDs?
darin3
Why does Galloway all the sudden seem like a potential-stud capable of 1200 yards and 10 TDs? I don't know. Will there be enough balls to go around, with Moss, Welker and (hopefully) a better Ben Watson around? I see what you're saying, though. Should Moss get hurt, Galloway could step in and likely deliver the same/similar results.

irish
Beause you're drunk? I have to agree that Galloway only puts up those lofty stats if an injury to Moss or Welker happens for a lengthy period of time and even then he may need to take a trip back in time in the the DeLorean. i_am_the_swammi
I don't know....I am thinking back to the Indy days when Wayne & Harrison both put up great numbers (double-digit TDs each) with Stokely performing well in the slot. Moss had his plethera of TDs because there was no ample #2 WR (I consider Welker the slot-role the same as Stokely and not a real TD threat). If Galloway can take, say, 6 of the TDs that Moss caught, and double the production Gaffney produced because, well, Gaffney is a stiff, then isn't that pretty solid production? All assuming Galloway is healthy, of course.
Sgt Ryan
To me that trade to KC is even more puzzling after these last few moves. Vrabel was one of your best defensive play makers, even if he is getting older. But this team doesnt care about age, they want experience. NE just signed over 30 players such as Shawn Springs, Joey Galloway, Fred Taylor, and many other of these type of guys over the past few years. Junior Seau and Rodney Harrison to name a few more. So NE just ships out Vrabel as a throw in with the Cassell Trade to KC. Smells fishy as hell. Id bet my last dollar, Pioli knew of more of Bills wrong doings, and Vrabel and Cassell for a 2nd is to keep him quiet. There is no way NE couldnt get more for Cassell alone, let alone Vrabel included.
Sgt Ryan
wasn't vrabel a salary cap casualty? So you are unaware he was part of the trade to KC.

Bring Back Pat!!!
I don't like this deal. Guy hasn't been healthy in either of the last two seasons and is 38. To say that's old for a WR is the understatement of the year. Unless this is for league minimum salary of 800K, I think this is a wasted signing. I'd rather let Aiken play that spot, or they should have kept Kelley Washington. I don't think Mr. Hamstring will do anything this year. CD6405
The only thing Galloway can do is run in a straight line pretty fast. Who knows, it might turn out well. It gives another deep threat.

But this is the type of deal that always works out for the patriots. I think he'll excel as a no.3 guy. Good luck to any team sticking there 3rd DB on him. d3m
Any more updated thoughts on Galloway. I snagged him with my last pick but I am already contemplating dropping him. PPR league...any value?
gilthorp
He was looked at often tonight...but he's on a team now where you start him, and he grabs you minimal points, you sit him, he may blow up. Gotta stay away from that. Plus, have you heard? He's old.

Gotta stay away from that. Plus, have you heard? He's old. You know what Gil? We were maveling at the same thing tonight. 15th season?? Has it been that long since he played in Scarlett and Grey? I know this sounds strange......lol......but I saw him without his shirt towards the end of last season. The man looks 25......his body is in amazing shape. So it's a little weird to see grey around the temples.......with that bod. He's a "valley boy" ya know......lol. Bellaire is the tiny town 10 miles down Rt 7 from Mingo.....MrBunz's hometown. I don't have a clue how he'll hold up this year. His time at TB was....."go deep, Joey". In NE he'll have to go back to real route running.....but the man is STILL fast.......incredibly fast. Worth a flyer anyway. Personally, I think Chris Baker might be the surprise on the Pats this year. Who knows.....you have that many weapons AND a Randy Moss......is ANYONE else going to have significant numbers? WaterMan
Not enough balls to go around? Don't defenses have to stop them from throwing TDs?
