Bronco Billy
Just went in to check preseason week 1 scheduling and when you go there, there is a bunch of blank spaces and stuff bleeding all over itself. Jesus H Christ - you're the freaking NFL and you make no bones about running the league like a well oiled business, and then this is the best you can do with your primary Internet presence? In this day & age? Truly astounding.
BA Baracus
Just look at the NFL network. Their game coverage, commentary, and reporting is pretty terrible. There have been a few of the "A Football Life" programs that have been okay, I suppose. They need to subcontract this stuff out to a professional media firm that knows what the hell they are doing.
Joessfl
Yes it does. I no longer travel to that site. Last year, I posted the same thing and others suggested using CBSSports.com, ESPN even is better that nfl.com. You mean to tell me its gotten worse? There is so much going on and bogged down response time and a battery hog (Flash I think is what they still use). Unbelievable.
flemingd
Yep it's embarrassing. I removed all bookmarks for nfl.com and I refuse to even follow a link to them. Their Game Center is a total cluster and it performs terribly. $9 billion a year and they can't get a website right.
stevegrab
Sadly it isn't just the NFL its an epidemic on many web sites. Not sure if it is the people doing the development, the people doing higher level planning, others or everybody involved but many web sites just seem horrible lately. Too much clutter, too much junk, tons of videos than run automatically, constant change so that its new (and impossible to do what you used to). About the only thing I go to NFL.com for is schedules or current stats. Just yesterday I logged into my bank (Key Bank) and was told I needed a new password, just getting through that was a nightmare as it asked security questions, then prompted for a password, then made me try again (evidently the answer to the security question was wrong because I got a different one and had to put in a new password). Top it off with they keep a record of the last 12 passwords I had, and I cannot reuse those. How friggin idiotic.
darin3
Try going there for stats. No thanks.
stethant
Just went in to check preseason week 1 scheduling and when you go there, there is a bunch of blank spaces and stuff bleeding all over itself. Just made the mistake of checking this out and it remains exactly as you describe. Would not have gone to their site without this thread but I'm glad to know nfl.com continues to underperform. flemingd
I just went there to see their schedule and it's still a hot mess. Got asked to do a survey and lambasted it.
MikesVikes
You're wrong Bronco Billy. NFL.com is the best internet site ever! I go there for all information that I need. I could and would defend the site for weeks on end. Are you up for a battle? Actually I think it is an embarrassing site that serves no function but that would be no fun to say.
